Adenomyosis occurs when inner lining of uterus breaks and causes heavy menstrual cramps, bleeding along with lower abdominal pain and bloating. However many women do not even have any symptoms. They are different from uterine fibroids and must be diagnosed properly to start treatment.

The treatment for the severe cases includes: • Hormone therapy • Uterine artery embolization. • Endometrial ablation. • Medications prescribed by the doctor.
