ACHILLES TENDON RUPTURE
Achilles Tendon rupture is the tear of the Achilles Tendon due to overstretching and can be both partial and complete. Most people will have pain or swelling near the heel of the injured leg. A surgical treatment is recommended for complete tear and rupture however for the partial tear it could be non-surgical treatment. There are two types of surgeries open surgery and percutaneous surgery. The non-surgical treatment involves rehabilitation and short leg casts. This surgery can take 4-8 weeks to heal.
