A sample of the sputum and a tissue from the throat may be taken for microscopic examination
HOW IS SORE THROAT TREATED?
The treatment for a sore throat depends on the cause. However, you can treat many sore throats at home. Repeated gargling with warm, salt water is very effective. A course of antibiotics will be recommended if the sore throat is due to a bacterial infection.
