The term Orotic Aciduria is used for defining excessive excretion of orotic acid in the urine. This is a common form of anaemia and is associated various forms of physical retardation. Treatment for Orotic Aciduria is done via internal medicines. Other mode of treatment here include cytidine monophosphate and uridine monophosphate that is known to reduce the levels of orotic acid in the patients. For people who are suffering from the hereditary form of the same, Uridine triacetate can be used.
