HOW IS OROTIC ACIDURIA DIAGNOSED?
This disorder can be easily diagnosed with the help of a urine test which would show the increased levels of orotic acid.
HOW IS OROTIC ACIDURIA TREATED?
Uridine treatment is usually recommended in such cases. Also, the doctor may prescribe cytidine monophosphate as the primary method of treatment. These methods help in reducing the risk of anaemia by reducing the level of orotic acid being secreted in the urine.
