Moles are basically a kind of skin lesion or emergence on the skin, which is similar to a skin tag but is bigger in size. The moles are usually brown and blackish in colour with a majority of them being benign. These moles appear on any part of the skin but most commonly happen on the face around the chin, ears, cheeks or even the temple areas.
HOW IS MOLES DIAGNOSED?
Moles in general are harmless but if a general physician examines a mole and suspects an underlying health condition, he may take a skin biopsy to examine the section of the tissues of the mole.
HOW IS MOLES TREATED?
Treatment of a mole depends on the intensity and growth of it. There could be surgical procedure involved in its removal if it is too big. Smaller moles are usually not a concern and don't hamper your appearance. Nitrogen or simple laser therapy can also be done along with ointments.
