Bedwetting is involuntary urination during the night while sleeping. It can be a symptom of underlying disease mostly in children. Bedwetting in children need parental attention and support. The causes for bedwetting differ in all cases. Child's overall physical and emotional health, chronic illness and/or emotional and physical abuse may be the cause of bedwetting.

The general physician or pediatrician may conduct lab tests to find out the cause of bedwetting, as it may also point at a larger problem. You must get proper diagnosis done if the child is wetting the bed even after the age of five or six.
HOW IS BEDWETTING TREATED?
Medication like Desmopressin or Imipramine may be prescribed by the pediatrician to help deal with bedwetting. Also, the doctor may ask you to refrain from giving the child fluids one hour before bedtime.
