It is an unpleasant sensation ranging from mild discomfort to unbearable agony in either or both arms. The pain may be due to acute injury, tissue damage or noxious stimulation of nerve fibers.

Orthopedic evaluation may be done via physical examination and medical history. An X-ray or CT scan can help diagnose any damage to bones or tissue.
HOW IS ARM PAIN TREATED?
For arm pain that is not related to vascular diseases, home treatments like giving rest to the arm, applying ice, compression, gentle massage or wearing a sling may be done. For arm pain due to muscle cramps, staying hydrated, slow exercises and gentle massage may help. Pain relief medication may be taken for reducing the pain.
