Bladder cancer begins in the bladder affecting the cells lining the inside of the bladder. Blood appears in the urine with painful sensation. Bladder cancer is primarily caused by tobacco smoking. However, it can also be caused by parasitic infection or by exposure to certain radiations and chemicals. In some cases, surgeries are performed to remove the tumor or bladder or radiation therapies are used.

Bladder cancer can be divided into 5 different types which are classified using microscopic cell analysis.
