The skin allergy lesions near her Midline (spinal cord as per You) need to be physically seen to rule out the possibility of they being due to drug reactions to TB drugs which she might be taking ,although you have not mentioned about treatment she is is on for TB after it being diagnosed 3 months back.

Doctor, I am suffering from chronic cough, sneezing (burning sensation in nostrils) with mucus. I get severe cough with mucus for 1-2 hrs and stops by itself if I don't take medicine. When I use foracort 200 inhaler then cough stops in 5 to 10 minutes. So should I use inhaler continuously everyday 2 times irrespective of symptoms of cough. Please suggest how to prevent and cure this condition. I have sever allergy of dust, smoke and climatic changes.

Pulmonologist, Jabalpur
you seem to be suffering from allergic asthma with rhinitis. In such patients ,it is recommended that you take controller group of medicines regularly even when do not have symptoms and enhance treatment with reliever medicines when get symptoms in between, Hence iit is better if you take the above inhaler regularly even when do not have much symptoms,so that the disease is under control

I have acute OSA. I sleep on my sides mostly keeping a side pillow below my upper folded leg. Is is harmful?

there is nothing like acute in OSA. If you have risks Factors of OSA you should get it checked with overnight sleep study. Positional therapy like sleeping in a specific position helps few patients who have been found to be having more apneas in sleeping straight over the back i.e. supine.but yet this also has to be confirmed by an sleep study only

I am 39 years male. I have been taking akurit 4 for the past 15 days for TB treatment. I have not taken alcohol but if I wish to take alcohol once, can I stop the medicine a day before and again start it the next day after consuming alcohol? Will there be any effects? I would like to inform that this would be only once as there is an occasion and would not repeat it till the course ends.

DNB(Respiratory Diseases), MBBS
Pulmonologist, Jabalpur
It is not advisable to stop TB drugs. Consuming alcohol with Anti TB medicine may have some raised risk of liver toxicity, but if their is such a dire need to consume alcohol so as otherwise you may be penalised for not consuming on that specific day and penality is more severe than you health needs that you are afraid to withstand that penality, then one may take alcohol keeping in mind the liver functions tests to rule out liver toxicity.

I have lung tb since 9 months. It is ok to do body weight exercise like pull up and push up?

DNB(Respiratory Diseases), MBBS
Pulmonologist, Jabalpur
Lung TB since 9 months should have been cured till now if you have taken treatment. the level of exercise you can do depends on your lung health, because many time Tuberculosis leaves some permanent scars in lungs which can hamper the lung capacity.
