There is urgent need of #dietcorrection, walking, exercise need based continuous education for every single #patient visiting any fraternity doctor.we will have to #cut it on social media time spending so as to come in terms with time shortage.
Let us do minor corrections ex if you are taking #poha, reduce "#sev", take only one #Fried item a day say if one kachori. Say no to other items. Reduce ghee on chappati and in rice. Start drinking tea/coffee/milk without sugar or few crystals only. Reduce alcohol or beverages or juices and strict no to fried snacks.
We must check on #oilconsumption which is 600 ml per month per person.
Do not wait for diabetes or HBP to occur. #Overconfidence that nothing will happen to me will be detrimental.
Check on unwanted additional salt you take in salad or in wafers or #farihalikhichadi, in papad, in pickle, in jeeravan etc
Let us organize such most important lectures in social groups etc.
India is only country though not in rich category but diabetics statistics higher than rich nations.
Start some purposeful walking in between.
#Doctors themselves must be beware that they have to practice too with teaching patients.
In short control on diet quantity increase usage of salad for stomach filling. Start saying goodbye to faulty family and traditional eating habits.
Eating too frequently is biggest denominator. Old time three time eating is wonderful. Avoiding eating in night. #Avoid forcing or manwar tradition.
I have heard for cleaning wax from ear, stick cleaning is not good, it is harmful for ears. So please tell how can we clean wax from ears at home.

How to deal with #insect inside ear
If suddenly one feels a #buzzingsound or an itchy feel in the ear& to horror, one feels a live insect in ear, which can be extremely annoying and is like a nightmare. Insects often get stuck when they enter our ears as they cannot fly or crawl out.
First thing is to confirm if insect is there or not; for which pull pinna upward and backwards in adult and straight down in children below 3 yrs, throw light with torch, if a #mosquito it might come out with light. If other insect use gravity down position so it might crawl out.
#staycool, calm and no panic please being too active may lodge the bug further in your ear or cause it to crawl further back, or cause #damage to the sensitive inner ear or eardrum. Keep objects (like fingers) away from your ears to promote early exit of insect. Sometimes there is no insect or might have come out and just sensation or feeling is persisting. Abnormal sensation can be sometimes due to eustachian dysfunction.
If you are not able to understand&if the foreign object is an insect, tilt the person's head so that the ear with the offending insect is upward. Try to float the insect out by pouring #mineral,#oiloliveoil or baby oil into the ear. The oil should be warm but not hot. As you pour the oil, you can ease the entry of the oil by straightening the ear canal. Pull the earlobe gently backward and upward for an adult, backward and downward for a child. The insect should suffocate and float out in the oil bath, it will #kill the insect by #drowning it. Don't use oil to remove any object other than an insect. Don't use this method for a child if ear tubes are in place or if you think the eardrum may be perforated. The emergency is over once the insect is dead. See your#entdoctor as soon as possible.
One may also squeeze droplets of #alcohol in ear canal, even though painful. The alcohol will evaporate but the smell will pressure the insect to come out.
One may also,#flush the ear with water – using a bulb or syringe (without the needle) if one is available to swish it out. Let the water slowly overflow and watch for the insect to be flushed out. Do not irrigate ear if you think your ear drum has been ruptured or has old hole in drum or has a tube or grommet.
But do not try to remove an insect with cotton swab, tweezers or hair clip or#forceps or any other tool, as it will make the situation worse and can lodge the insect deeper into the ear canal, which can possibly damage the eardrum, middle ear leading to hearing loss and may lead to chronic disease and necessity of #tympanoplasty operation in future. We sometimes get such cases of damage hence please ask only a ent specialist to remove and no one else must attempt removal even though tempting.
Best thing is always visit ent doc & get insect removed fully or if parts are left with. He will also clean debris or infection. Believe me it will be cost effective and safe.
Lastly please ensure less entry of insects in house or office, avoid lying on ground, use insecticides regularly for insect control etc

Number of patients presenting with the painful ear infection, swimmer's ear, rises with the summer heat. More people goes
To the pools and the waterways. Unlike an infection of the middle ear, swimmer's ear happens when bacteria grow in the ear canal.
When water gets in here, it gets stuck around wax or just irritates the ear canal. The ear canal swells and that's when you start to get some small cracks in the tissue that serve as a harbor for infection, which is what leads to outer ear infections. Swimmer's ear can start
Out with mild symptoms, but quickly escalate to pain, itching, redness & drainage. Usually if the drainage persists for more tha
A day or the child complains for more than a day or you start to see some swelling of the ear canal itself, consult a ent specialist.
Avoid over-the-counter ear drops. Preventing swimmer's ear starts with keeping the outer ear dry. A half and half solution of one part vinegar/one part rubbing alcohol can be put into the ear, to help dry it out. You can also use a hairdryer on the low setting, about 12 inches from the ear. The hallmark sign of swimmer's ear in children, regardless of whether or not they have ear tubes, is tenderness when moving the ear. If you are diabetic or immunocompromised, it is important that you see a doctor for ear infections. There is a life-threatening complication that can arise if left untreated

Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses, which are the air-containing pockets in the skull and facial bones around your nose. Chronic sinusitis develops when inflammation lasts for more than 12 weeks.
Most chronic sinusitis can be managed with medical therapy. However, if your symptoms or the inflammation do not respond to medical therapy, surgery may be necessary. The goal of treatment is to restore sinus health and function.
Symptoms of chronic sinusitis often resemble a cold. A cold is usually caused by a viral infection and accompanied by a runny or stuffed-up nose, sneezing, sore throat, watery eyes and a fever. This kind of acute viral sinusitis usually lasts 5-10 days; but often
You may get a bacterial infection as a result of a cold, triggering acute bacterial sinusitis. If that happens, cold symptoms get worse; you also may have yellow or green nasal drainage, pain in your face or teeth, and a fever. Acute sinusitis lasts up to four weeks. When symptoms persist for more than 12 weeks, you may have chronic sinusitis. But some cases of chronic sinusitis can develop subtly, without a preceding viral infection.
In chronic sinusitis, the lining of sinus cavities, called mucosa, becomes inflamed and swollen. Chronic sinusitis symptoms usually do not include fever. You may have thick, discolored nasal discharge, often green or yellow, along with nasal congestion. You may feel dull pain or pressure in your cheeks, eyes, forehead or the back of your head. Your sense of smell and taste may be reduced. Sometimes, when the inflammation is very bad, polyps may form in the nose. Polyps occupy the nasal passageways and can cause problems with nasal breathing, drainage and sense of smell'
If you have chronic sinusitis, medical treatment is usually tried first to reduce the inflammation.
If medication is not enough to relieve symptoms or control inflammation, you may need sinus surgery. The surgery, known as Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, involves widening the openings of the sinuses to allow for improved drainage and ventilation. It usually is performed entirely through the nose using an endoscope.
A procedure called debarment typically is performed a few days after surgery to clean the nasal and sinus passageways. People often notice a large improvement in symptoms after that, and most are able to resume their normal activities at that time.
In most cases, sinus surgery improves symptoms significantly. But even after surgery, many people with chronic sinusitis still require ongoing treatment, such as occasional use of nasal steroids and a nasal rinse to maintain good sinus health.
