Hello Lybrate User,      Having an irregular cycle means that the interval between periods varies each month. That is, sometimes they come every 28 days, sometimes every 20, sometimes every 30. Having irregular periods is very common. Most common causes of the irregular periods are , hormonal imbalance, such as thyroid malfunctions, problems with the pelvic organs, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, stress, anxiety and emotional problems, eating disorders, like anorexia, excessive weight gain or weight loss, drugs like birth control pills can affect the frequency and / or intensity of menstruation, other diseases including STDs, diabetes, fibroids and endometriosis are the reasons behind irregular periods. Take homeopathic treatment for irregular menses, there are lot of homeopathic remedies which are completely & permanently cured by homeopathy without any side effects. These remedies can be used safely without any fear or worry of side effects. Along with follow this preventive measures,  * Stress management such as doing meditation, yoga. * Avoid over exercising. * Try not to diet excessively. If you want to take homeopathic treatment consult me on lybrate privately. Take care.

Don't worry. Try to avoid smoking and tobacco. I usually advise couples to some after one year of marriage, unless they are very anxious. Don't feel bad. All the best. 6 month is not always sufficient time.

She will need full gynec check up. The uterus, cervix (mouth) and birth passage will be examined to identify the source of bleeding. Ultrasound will help in the diagnosis. Only then will it be possible to give some treatment.

The condition is termed as Metrorrhagia also known as the dysfunctional uterine bleeding is a problem that women suffer from. Metrorrhagia is common, with patients who are near to their menopausal phase. Basically, this condition is characterized by bleeding episodes (mainly spotting but can lead to severe bleeding) outside the menstrual phase. Metrorrhagia is considered a symptom of a possible health problem but shouldn’t be handled as a serious health problem right away. One should not panic. Some of the main cause are----------- • Endometrial hyperplasia. This condition is said to be a result of abnormal levels of estrogen and decreased levels of progesterone. This abnormality in hormonal levels would then prompt excessive endometrial cells. • Uterine cancer. This is considered a common cause of the metrorrhagia. Increasing age is related to uterine cancer, making postmenopausal women as victims of the uterine cancer. Tumors such as those found in ovarian cysts can result to abnormal off-menstrual bleeding. • Ruptured polyps. There are cases where a woman is unaware that she has cervical polyps. Somehow, after sexual contact, it will be identified. Postcoital bleeding should not be taken lightly, as this may indicate for presence of polyps in the cervix or endometrium. • Cervical dysplasia. This condition is a pre-cancer stage that involves vaginal spotting as a symptom. This may be indicative that cancer development is in progress. • Cervicitis. This is known as infection of the cervix. Bleeding during the infection would indicate prompt attention as this may progress to a chronic problem. • Abortion or miscarriage. This is a common cause of vaginal bleeding. There are cases where after abortion, fetal parts are left that can cause for vaginal infection and bleeding. • Infection. Sexually transmitted infection/s is a probable cause of metrorrhagia. Syphilis is known to cause vaginal bleeding. Those who have Lyme disease are prone to metrorrhagia as they become susceptible to infections. • Hormonal imbalance. There are underlying conditions such as hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism that cause hormonal imbalance. • Coagulation problems. Women who have an underlying coagulation (blood clotting) problem such as those prone to bleeding are highly susceptible to metrorrhagia. • Use of contraception. The use of devices that can traumatize the vaginal or uterine lining can cause bleeding. IUD is a common device to cause metrorrhagia. Treatment depends upon the cause of Uterine bleeding and for that a thorough physical examination is required. So my advise is to immediately consult a gynaecologist so as to diagnose the underlying cause at the earliest and treatment given accordingly.

Dear sir/madam, how to identify the day of ovulation, is there any test available to identify it. As I have heard that sex on that results in 100 % pregnancy chances, is it true.

Hello, ovulation can be predicted at home by 1. Body temperature chart - 0.5 degrees rise in temp may be noted around ovulation. 2. Vaginal discharge pattern- around ovulation discharge is more profuse and stretchy. 3. Ovulation kits available in the market. Or by ultrasound monitoring to look for folliculometry and ovulation. But trying on that day need not necessarily end in a pregnancy.

Fertomid tablets 50mg are used to treat infertility in women who are having problems conceiving because their ovaries are not functioning correctly so that they are not ovulating (a condition known as anovulation), but who have no other obvious cause for infertility, and whose partner is fertile. Fertomid tablets 50mg restore the normal function of the ovaries, allowing an egg to mature and be released (ovulation), which can then be fertilised. Fertomid tablets 50mg are also used to restore normal menstrual cycle in women with irregular ovulation or amenorrhoea due to several causes, including taking oral contraceptives or polycystic ovary syndrome. Fertomid tablets are also used to treat male infertility by increasing sperm production in men with low sperm count (but only at a lower dose of 25mg).Normoz Tablet is a medicine that is used for the treatment of Improper nutrition, Vitamin D deficiency, Diabetes, High cholesterol and other conditions. Other two are vitamins and iron for blood formation

ce?
There are maximum chances of getting pregnant in the mid cycle days  of menstrual cycle. If your cycle is of 28 days (1st day to be counted on the day menstrual flow starts) the 14th day bears the maximum chances of getting pregnant. On the both sides of 14th day chances of conceiving gradually decreases with minimum chance (not zero) near 1st and 28th day of cycle.

Hello, The delay is due to stress induced hormonal imbalances and not due to pregnancy in your case, just wait for another week for menses to start and if still not, then you can opt for a withdrawal bleed with progesterones.
