If a person suffering from nasal obstruction with mild to moderate nasal allergies it means most probably he is suffering from dns (deviated nasal septum. Nasal obstruction is because of the deviated portion of the nasal septum (this is the bony partition of the nose cavity. Allergies are because of the hampered muco-ciliary mechanism (normally mucus is produced in the nose to moisten our nose cavity, oral cavity, and help food bolus to move downward, this mucus is basically moves on the cilia of the nasal mucosa) this mechanism gets hampered and mucus start accumulating in the nose and sinus cavity which is why thick mucus comes from nose in patients of nose obstruction and person develops sinusiits. When a surgeon removes the nasal septum deviation has not been removed properly the symptoms persists, and patient thinks that the nose bone has again regrown. It is not because of regrowth but because of half surgery done or due to the non removal of the deviation (reason can be many) nowadays nasal septal deviation can be removed endoscopically.

How do I overcome the difficulties I am facing in getting rid of my addiction?

I gather it is smoking addiction that you want to give up. If so, congratulations that you want to quit smoking. Tobacco consumption, either through smoke or other edible forms, is always harmful. The desire to quit is a good starting point. The best way to quit is to know more about the ill-effects of tobacco. The knowledge is astounding and scary. That information itself should help you to want to quit. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lung with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. There are more than 4000 harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke!!! You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. Then you need to identify why you smoke: there is an oral need, the nicotine effect, the psychological effect of covering up some other issue, for style, to impress, etc. You may discover that the reasons may be unimportant at this stage because you have become too addicted and the habit has become compulsive. You should start exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need, for a little while. You may take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces substantially. You may join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. Don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. As Mark Twain once jocularly said, “giving up smoking is easy; I have done it many times”. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. 10 STEPS TO HELP YOU SLEEP BETTER

Not getting a good night’s sleep can create havoc with your physical and mental wellbeing. With today’s fast paced lifestyles and poor sleep habits we are depriving ourselves from the endless benefits that are hidden in a good night’s sleep. Here are simple ways that can dramatically improve your sleep

Try and sleep in complete darkness. Get rid of night lights and any other light that is coming from outside. This helps in secreting your sleep hormone (melatonin)
Maintain your room temperature at 21°C. Keeping your room temperature too cool or hot leads to restless sleep
Move alarm clocks and other electronic devices at least 3 feet away from your bed
Reserve your bed for sleeping. Do not work on your laptops in bed and avoid texting and watching TV in bed
Avoid staying in bed if you cannot get sleep. Go to another room for 15-20 minutes and engage in a relaxing activity like reading from a book (not your phone or laptop) or meditation
Do not keep checking the time continuously in bed as this can make you more anxious and delay your sleep further
Avoid drinking fluids 2 hours before going to bed. This will minimize the frequency of using the washroom and help you get a deep sleep
Include protein rich food in your dinner. Proteins are rich in L-tryptophan that helps in producing serotonin( relaxing hormone) and melatonin(sleep hormone)
Do not have caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks around bedtime. They release adrenaline and that will make you more wakeful
Exercise regularly for 30 minutes each day( ay time of the day except around bedtime)
Make sure you spend 15-30 minutes in the morning light. This helps in regulating your sleep/wake cycle

avoid day time sleep, avoid tea coffee cola in evening and after. 8 hours sleep is ok. 10 pm to 6 am is good timing.avoid stress. take balanced diet.

I am 18 years old male. Three months back I had sensitivity in the 14th upper teeth, mild pain so that unable to chew on the right side. Dental hospital gave me ampicilin 500 mg three times a day for one week. Sensitivity had gone in a fortnight and tooth pain gone in one month. But still there is some difficulty while chewing. Mean while since last two months I am feeling heaviness in my head and mild giddiness. I am bp patient 140/90 after medication (revalol xl 50 and envas 10). My sugar level fasting 110 after metformin 500 sr. What should I do for my giddiness and heaviness in my head.

Is there anybody who is happy with their body? Definitely not! Almost everyone wants weight loss. While some want to reduce their overall weight, others are concerned about their thighs, arms, buttocks, and/or belly and get fat loss in these areas. The last couple of decades have seen a drastic change in the lifestyle of people. With more processed and refined items finding their way into each of our meals and physical activity drastically declining, the new epidemic is obesity. No germs causing it, but our foods.

Extensive research is being done to identify newer methods to manage obesity. The complicating issue is also that once lost, the chance of fat re-accumulation always exists. One such new technique is the ultrasonic lipolysis. This technique involves the use of ultrasound waves to kill the fat cells (lipo - fat, lysis - kill). This is a noninvasive method wherein localized fat deposits are reduced, thereby helping in fat loss especially in areas like the abdomen, hips, thighs, upper arm, and buttocks and resulting in further weight loss. This is an advanced technique available to patients who want to achieve weight loss and body contouring too.

How it Works?
The fat that is consumed through foods is digested but then accumulates under the skin. The accumulated fat is seen as fat globules or bubbles. These bubbles are difficult to break, but attract
more fat bubble formation and therefore fat accumulation continues over a period of time. After a detailed case history and examination, a customized programme is drawn that could be of 3 to 5 sessions spread over a period of one to two weeks.

During each session, heat waves of different wavelengths are applied to the area of fat deposition through fiber-optic lasers which start the process of fat loss. The sound energy gets converted into
mechanical energy which helps in bursting of the fat molecules. By a process known as emulsification, the larger fat cells are broken into smaller ones, almost to a liquid form, thereby reducing fat deposits.

Earlier, liposuction was used, which would remove the fat leaving sagging skin behind. Follow these best tips to make your digestion strong & healthy - *take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. *take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening. * take 1 tea spoon of liv-52 syrup daily one time. * walk for atleast 15-20 minutes daily and avoid long duration continuos sitting. * avoid taking nonveg at night & in day time after taking nonveg, do not sleep in day.
