Obviously your job will cause you to put up wt more, as its totally sedentary job. No medicines work effectively vthout added physical exercises, controlled n signifcnt diet which has less no. Of calories n fat n carbohydrates. Along vth these measuremnts, you can try homoeo r ayurvedhic medicines which then result vud b effective. In yoga, spcfc aasanaas vl help perfectly to reduce the fat accumulation in belly part. You csn do jogging also. Try to walk a while after food. Tske min. 1 glass water 25 min b4 good intske. Increase your water intake 3-4lts /day. But these all should b for long period, does nt show immediate results, but defntly your effort vl reflectd in your physique. If once addicted to these regulsr exercises n diet, you vl obviously stick to those hsbits. All the best.

I have thyroid I am overweight I am doing excise continue but I cannot loss weight my weight is 90 kg
And I got cram ...
You can lose weight by consistent food control and exercise. 1. Thyroid may add only 2-4 kgs to your body, rest of the weight you can reduce by proper diet. 2. Add 2-3 Fruits per day taken in gaps between meals. 3. ‎Eat plain roti/rice with dal with a bowl of salad in each meal. 4. Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/Colas / Fruit Juice from your diet. 5. Completely eliminate Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice etc 6. Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins. This will keep you slim and trim.

Hi, I am Dr. Kirti Yadav, a senior physiotherapist from Mat-Harbor family clinic, Gurgaon.

Today I want to talk about a very common problem which every one if we count about the population 100% than 70% of people they talk about disk pain. So I want to enlighten this topic today.  if there is a normal pain and ache in your neck or back you go to a doctor and the doctor assesses you and tells you to get an MRI done. Whenever you get an MRI done there is some level of disk involvement and the doctor asks you to take rest, not to do exercise and all those things and then just being fear of disk pain you don’t exercise for the rest of your life. So just to come onto that area, just to enlighten this topic, as a physiotherapist I want to tell you about the fact. Disk pain, YES it happens but it happens in 20% of the cases. The rest 50% of the cases have been misdiagnosing, they take disk pain and they don’t do exercise all of their life.

Now we don’t exercise, we don’t strengthen up our muscle that is the problem that we get these pains and aches and the muscle is being stretched which is counted to be the disk pain. Now when we talk about this, when you get an MRI done even today if I get my MRI done I will have some level of disk involvement whether the disk is causing you pain or not that is more important. The nature of pain tells you about the disk involvement. So if you have tingling sharp shooting burning kind of pain which travels through a nerve, which travels through the area, it dignifies, it signifies the disk pain. But if you have a localized dull, aching kind of pain please don’t take it as a disk pain and don’t take it as a nerve pain. So just coming to the treatment part. About 50% of the people who don’t have disk pain, who says we have cervical spondylitis but they don’t have cervical spondylitis they have trapezius muscle involvement. In that case what we do please strengthen up your trapezius muscle, please strengthen up your shoulder muscle so that you don’t have these pains and aches again and again. Why does this happen? This happens because of repetitive strain injuries that happen because of more of computer use more of mobile use, texting and other sedentary live cells which we are going in. So the ultimate solution for pains and aches muscular is strengthening the particular part.

If you want to know more about this, if you want to talk more about it you can contact me through Lybrate.

Reduction In Flexibility - Can It Be A Sign Of Bone Cancer?

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MD - Medicine, DNB - Medical Oncology, MRCP - Medical Oncology, ECMO - Medical Oncology
Oncologist, Delhi
Reduction In Flexibility - Can It Be A Sign Of Bone Cancer?

We have more than 200 bones in our body and each of them is susceptible to bone cancer. However, long bones in the arms and legs are most susceptible to this condition. Bone cancer can be primary or secondary. Primary bone cancer involves uncontrolled and abnormal cell division within the bones while secondary bone cancer refers to cancer that originated somewhere else in the body and later spread to the bones. While children and adults are equally at risk for primary bone cancer, adults and elderly people are more susceptible to secondary bone cancer. If diagnosed early enough, bone cancer can be treated and even cured with surgery, chemotherapy or radiation.

Hence it is essential to recognize the signs and symptoms of bone cancer. Here’s what you should look out for.

  1. Pain in Bones: Pain is one the primary symptoms of bone cancer. As the tumour grows larger, this pain can become more intense. In its early stages, the pain may be experienced as a dull ache inside the bone or the affected part of the body. It may also increase or decrease according to your activity level or may be experienced only at night. However, not all bone pains signify ‘cancer’ as this is also a symptom associated with osteoporosis.
  2. SwellingIn some cases, the abnormal growth of bone cells can result in the formation of a lump of mass that may be felt through the skin. In other cases, the affected area may also show signs of swelling.
  3. Breaking of the Bone: Cancer can weaken the bones and make them more brittle. This may make the bones more susceptible to fractures. A bone breaking in an area that has been painful or sore for a long period of time may be a sign of cancer. This is known as a pathologic fracture.
  4. Reduced Flexibility: If the tumour is located near a joint, it may affect the range of movements possible and make simple actions uncomfortable. For example, a tumour around the knee may make walking and climbing stairs a painful exercise.

Other symptoms to look out for are sudden and drastic weight loss, tiredness, excessive sweating at night, fever and difficulty breathing in case cancer has spread to other organs. Since many of these symptoms are common to other medical disorders, you should conduct a doctor immediately if you notice any of them. A physical examination and a couple of tests along with a biopsy will be required to confirm a diagnosis of bone cancer.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given. I do understand your concern. Since you are on treatment for hypothyroidism, please tell me what is TSH level now? Because some of the things described can be a consequence of uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Plus let me know whether you have always been obese (BMI 32.02 kgs/M2, normal < 23 kgs? Or has the weight gone up during recent years? Thanks.

How to decrease my weight? I am 24 year old my height is 172 cm and my weight is 92. So how can loss of weight?

How to decrease my weight? I am 24 year old my height is 172 cm and my weight is 92. So how can loss of weight?
Weight loss tip 1: decide how much weight you need to lose - most people start their weight loss journey by claiming to be xyz kilos overweight. This isn't a healthy way to project or aim for weight loss. Calculate your desired weight against your height by using reliable methods like the bmi, and set a healthy weight loss target. This is often half the battle won. Weight loss tip 2: time management - this is quite often overlooked. Decide which part of your day will be dedicated to exercise, when in the week you will stock up on groceries, and when you will do the cooking - all within your current work and home life routine. If you don't do this now, your days will be rushed and unplanned, and you won't be able to sustain your weight loss efforts. Weight loss tip 3: stock your kitchen - keep your house well-stocked with fruits, vegetables, healthy meats, grains, cereals, spices, and flavourers. Follow our tricks to healthy cooking, cooking vegetables for the week, and low-fat cooking posts to understand how best you can stock your kitchen with healthy and delicious ingredients. All of this will go into helping the next step - cooking healthy meals at home. Weight loss tip 4: eat healthy homecooked meals - whether it's you who's cooking, a family member, or house help, ensure that every one practises healthy cooking methods, and ingredients. Ask any person who's lost weight the healthy way, and you will always hear about how healthy homecooked meals were a big reason behind it. Use less oil, low salt, fresh produce, and you'll start seeing results in no time. Weight loss tip 5: start a cardio + weights workout - a healthy weight loss programme is incomplete without a good exercise routine, and weight training mixed with cardio is the best way to lose weight. Of course, variations and forms exist, but any workout that stresses on muscle tone and increased heart rate will always help you lose weight and keep it off. You can either start a home workout today, or rely on gyms for fitness training. Weight loss tip 6: alter your snacking habits. Set those french fries aside, skip that aerated drink, and ban those unhealthy deep fried samosas. Explore the healthy snack world and you will find several appetisers, party snacks, movie snacks and meal accompaniments that'll satisfy every craving of yours. Weight loss tip 7: have at least one active hobby - it isn't sufficient to rely on just 30 to 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Moving from bed to office chair, and back to bed, isn't a healthy way to live. Buy a motion sensor gaming console that lets you enjoy social games with friends and family, plan weekend trips, clean your house once a week, dance, play sports, the list is endless. Get out of the coffee shop and dining table rut, and you'll have fun along with the healthy weight loss weight loss tip 9: drink plenty of water - you've known that your body relies heavily on water for all important bodily functions, and yet you skimp on drinking adequate quantities of water every day. Well, it's time to stop that. Check out some exciting ways to make water interesting and you'll be packing it away in no time. Do not forget to carry a water bottle to your workout, and take a few sips after every 2-3 minutes of exercise. Weight loss tip 10: plan healthy vacations - why go all the way with healthy weight loss, when one tiny vacation will just come along and topple it all? healthy vacations aren't impossible. Take a look at how you can eat smart on a holiday, and then at bodyweight workouts that you can carry with you wherever you go, to understand how to holiday right. Above all, remember that these are lifelong habits that'll help you stay fit forever and not short term weight loss quickfixes.
