Low dose oc pills will be option for your girl friend for that she have to visit personally to gynac. After proper general examination she can take oc pills from day 2of her period.

Hi foods that are dense in nutrients and calories help in weight gain. Whole grains, nuts, butter of nuts, potatoes, bananas, beans rich in proteins. Make sure your meals are high on complex carbohydrates and proteins. Milkshakes with fresh fruits will help weight gain. Consider taking protein shakes. A minimum of 500 calories can be increased per day.

There is no any reason to worry as HIV test results are negative. Are you married? Did you have sex relations with any woman other than your wife? If no then never go again for HIV test. Now don't think much about this. Forget the past & try to enjoy the present. There are lot many reasons & things to live life. Practise physical exercise regularly. Try to be engaged in your routine work. Spend much time in your hobbies. Always think in positive manner. Life is a most beautiful thing like a gift. Do not spoil it by thinking in wrong way. Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium tcan worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8hrs. of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.

Dear lybreate user, you need to consult a yoga therapist. With the help of a few asanas, and pranayama you might be able to have some control/regulation on your thyroid and cholesterol. Having flax seeds everyday may lower your cholesterol levels. You may consult an ayurvedic doctor for this.

Spotting - 4 Reasons Behind It

Spotting can be stated as a form of mild bleeding from the vagina. It is similar to a period, but it is much lighter and can occur in between your periods. Most women who are pregnant and are in their first trimester experience spotting. In fact, spotting is often seen as one of the early signs of pregnancy.

Spotting can happen because of any of the following reasons:

  1. Cysts in the uterus can cause spotting
  2. Though very rare, a thyroid problem can also lead to spotting
  3. Any infection in the cervix or uterine cancer can also cause spotting
  4. Lastly, hormonal imbalance can also cause spotting

What can spotting signify?
Spotting is completely normal and there is no need to be worried if it happens on account of any of the following reasons.

  1. Light spotting at the end of the bleeding period during the menstrual cycle is common.
  2. Spotting can also occur during ovulation; in fact, seeing some spots of blood when one is ovulating, is often considered as an excellent sign of fertility.
  3. Mild spotting can also develop after sex, especially if it is for the first time, owing to the hymen getting ruptured
  4. Mild spotting if one is on birth control pills is also normal.

When should you be worried?

  1. Spotting is an early sign of pregnancy and if you are not planning to conceive any time soon, then you must visit your gynaecologist.
  2. Spotting may also be a symptom of any STD, primarily Chlamydia or Gonorrhea.
  3. As spotting could also be indicative of cancer, it’s advisable to not delay and consult a gynaecologist immediately.

The summer is coming! With all that excitement around getting a new bathing suit and figuring out where your big summer romance is going to happen, we’d like to break in with some beauty tips to help you look your best. It’s time to shake off the chilly spring weather and look forward to some hot fun in the summer sun!

1. Avoid peak hours of sunlight when the temperatures and UV rays are at their highest, normally between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. That's the best time to head inside, get food and water, let your body cool down, and maybe even take a nap.

2. Chew Some Juicy Fruits : "Melons are the perfect hot-weather food.

3. Light-Colored Clothes : The white linen shirt every male movie star wears on the beach isn't just fashionably conscious; it's also intelligent for hot, sunny days. Dark clothing absorbs more heat, and tight clothes don't let sweat — your body's natural cooling system — evaporate.

3. Sunglasses  :  Sunglasses are chic and functional. They prevent harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays from scorching your corneas and protect your eyes for many more summers to come. Choose sunglasses that block 90 to 100 percent of UV rays.

4. Sunscreen :  Nothing knocks good days off a summer calendar like a nasty sunburn. When outdoors, use sunscreen with an SPF rating of at least 15. Use a higher-rated, waterproof sunscreen if you'll be poolside or out on the beach. Don't forget to cover areas that burn easily: nose, ears, shoulders, and back of the neck.

5. Lip Balm : Just like sunscreen protects the rest of your skin, a lip balm with SPF protection blocks out the sun and keeps in moisture for your lips. Perfect for a day on the lake or while you're working on that summer romance.

6. Water : Don't wait until you're thirsty! Drink water throughout the day to prevent dehydration or over exhaustion. Use the color of your urine to guide if you're hydrated enough — the clearer the better.

7. Juice :  All natural juice without added sugar not only provides hydration but also important nutrients to keep you active in hot weather. Check the label on the juice bottle and make sure it says “100 percent juice with no sugar added.”

8. Fruits and Vegetables : Fruits and vegetables are easy to digest and often high in water content. Salads and other dishes rich in seasonal produce will keep you feeling light and hydrated.
