Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day..

Hi it can be fibromyalgia. Some test may be required like cervical xray, diabetes, calcium, vitamin d etc. But first it will be good if you visit orthopaedic or physiotherapist personally for clinical examination. Meanwhile take hot water bath twice a day and take healthy and balanced diet. Best wishes.

My son is suffering form ankylosing spondylitis since 10 years. He has taken embark for 4 years monthly once and exemptia 40 mg for 2 years. After using exemptia he got TB and now we stopped all medicine related to ankylosing spondylitis except painkillers. Now as TB medicine course is over, can I take exemptia. Why I'm asking is that I'm having slight pain in morning. As a preventive measure can I take the injection. And also please suggest can I take safe or exemptia. Thanks.

Right now it's not advisable to resume embark or exemptia due to risk of recurrence of tuberculosis relapse. Continue conservative management of ankylosing spondylitis with analgesics and exercise. Wish you good health.

I used to run 10 km a day in the morning for the past 4 weeks. One night when I woke up My knee was suddenly paining and I couldn't walk properly and after a week's gap the pain is reduced although I still cannot walk properly. I can feel the pain sometimes. What should I do?

Warm up before exercise is most important step ,never miss it. It may cause fatigue of muscles leading to weakness of lower limbs.

I am a female, 38 years, married, from INDIA. I have been suffering from lower back pain (slipped disc, sciatica) since last 6 years. The pain becomes unbearable now from lower back to tow (left leg). Right leg gets numb if I stand for more than 3-5 minutes. My first MRI report (7 years ago) shows I had slipped disc L4-L5 & L5-S1. My recent MRI (week ago) shows same thing. I had consulted few doctors. Most of them suggested for a surgery. Couple of them suggested complete rest for 15-20 days with medicines. I am unable to do complete rest or surgery. Please suggest other alternatives to remove pain ASAP. The pain is unbearable now. Thank you so much.

Hi, Lybrate-user, as per you medical history is concern, first not to take more pain relief medicine in longer term ,you should try other option like physiotherapy modalities like ultrasound therapy, tens ,ift which is truly medicinal less and have not any side effects gives you relax a lot, another home care measures you also follow like hot and cold therapy for some days to reduce swelling and subside pressure over spinal section .some mild exercises and stretching also have to follow to subside the symptoms of scitica .take some medicine for short term for immediate relief after then stop this to be taken.

Sir mujhe joints pain hota hai ye karib 15 saal se hai. Har saal me ek bar jarur HOTA hai aur mere sir se lekar pair sare joint par dard hota hai .yaha Tak ki chest ke joint me bhi pain hota hai agle saal January me huya that aur may me thik ho gaya aur ab fir is saal me karib 10 dino SE ho raha hai. Mai bahut sare doctor SE dhikhaya but kabhi thik nahi ho pa raha hai. Please sir mujhe koi medicine suggest karo .

If your pain is more in the distal joints, ie. In the upper limbs if the pain is present in the fingers/wrist and in the lower limbs it the pain is present in the toes/ ankle, then we shall definitely say it is Rheumatic arthritis. Wear elbow brace and wrist brace which will make her to feel warm and that will make the joints become firm. Hot water fermentation will help Knee cap will also help to prevent the damaged cartilages. If your pain is more in the distal joints, ie. In the upper limbs if the pain is present in the fingers/wrist and in the lower limbs it the pain is present in the toes/ ankle, then we shall definitely say it is Rheumatic arthritis. Which joints you have pain? If your proximal joints (ie. Shoulder, hip & knee has pain) then you can pour hot (warm) water in that area to reduce the inflammation. If you have pain in the distal joints ie. Wrist, fingers, ankle, toes then you can wear either elbow brace or wrist brace which will help you to feel warm and very protective. And also immerse the distal joints in the hot water tub which will help you to reduce the pain. Consult the near by physiotherapy clinic and also consult a general physician to check with your ESR levels to check whether you have inflammation.

Long sitting in one posture or in bad posture increase pressure on spine so keep change your posture in half an hour. Strate back posture with back support decreases the pressures. Advice: use right hight chair and table for study. Hot packs for 15min on back before study. Back extension exercises in morning.

As per your height and weight, you do not show any sign of over weight. Your legs can pain also because of vitamin D3 or B12 deficiency. Do some weight training exercise for 3 days and cardio vascular for 3 days. To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1.Rhus Tox 30 ( 4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week 2.Calci Aid ( Bakson) ( 2tabs) thrice a day for a week and revert. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.
