Febrile convulsions are common in the paediatric age group, reason is due to irritability of brain due to toxins especially pgi group liberated during the infection, when seizure activity occuring only at the time of high fever, nothing to worry, give the antipyretic medication and cold sponging and adequate hydration at the time of fever, for further queries you better consultant a paediatrician.

Bellys palsy is due to involvement of facial nerve, it's usually a lower motor neuron type, means upper part and lower part of face is also involved, usually occurs when exposure to cold weather, in most of the cases there is complete recovery In the duration up to 6 months, if you still feel some disfigurement or difficultly, you compare the face with other half if your still not satisfied, you consultant a neurologist.

There is a guy 23 years old having history of fits occasionally in a span of 6 to 1 year especially during heat n summer and gets fits 3 to four times during this period. All this started after a fall from top about 10 feet. Clenches his teeth and shakes vigorously in fits. Got an MRI done 1.5 tesla which shows nothing abnormal. Need him cured from fits. Guide and help. Is it advisable to get a 3 tesla MRI done or any other test to detect exact thing.

It's a case of post traumatic seizure, you don't need a 3tesla MRI brain image, you should continue the medication atleast for. A period of 2 years, during the period if you are getting seizure activity despite being using the drug, you should take have add on drug, please upload the old MRI brain images, to see any brain pathology is there.

Levitracetam drug is a broad spectrum antiepileptic drug, daily dose is up to 3000gm, you have taken only 1500gm, nothing to worry, it's the best tolerated drug with minimal side effects you wait for atleast 12 hrs to take the next dose as the drug is eliminated from the body in the time of 8 hrs it's t half time.

Antiepileptic drugs should be withdraw slowly, if the seizure recurrs, you should continue the drug for 2 years ,if no seizure present after 2 year you can slowly withdraw the the drug.

Dear sir I want to know that if someone (who is not suffering from any epilepsy/seizure disorder) has mistakenly took Dilantin 300 mg daily (sometimes 100 mg) for 15-30 days, what will happen? 2. Is he going to suffer from seizure disorder or other health issues for the usage of the Dilantin? 3. What has to be done to stop taking this medicine safely? Are there any side effects after stopping the medicine?

Dilantin is phenytoin sodium ,u can stop the drug if you don't have the seizure ,300 mg iss the daily dose of phenytoin, nothing will happen as it's under thearpeutic range, if possible Go for liver function test and review.
