I have some allergic issues with my nose. I often suffer from cold & cough. Please advise.
Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops. If you have a throat infection, or a viral cold then I will prescribe appropriate meds based on your detailed assessment. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

1. Take bland diet, avoid oily, spicy, fried and junk food, 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take one tablet of meftal spas twice daily after food 4. Take 2tsf of gelusil mps twice daily before food 3. If no relief, consult doctor.

Hye. Thankyou for your query. Weight gain is dependent on many factors like genetics, diet and exercise routine. There is no short cut to gain weight fast. A weight gain supplement cannot just help you to gain muscle and add calories to your body. In order for your body to gain calories, it is important to eat much food. Most supplements are also added with appetizers that may help boost your craving for foods. With the aid of the appetite boosters, your body will want to eat more foods and accumulate more fats. This is why taking supplementation in isolation does not really work. Whatever you have gained, you could have managed with a well planned diet as well. For any supplement to even help, you need to have a calorie, protein, nutrient dense diet first. Just taking supplement thrice a day a pill will not help because it's just fulfilling your basic needs. Moreover, the moment you discontinue the supplement you will lose all the weight. It must be understood that muscles will not grow big if you will not work on it. It is important to engage oneself into exercises which are focused on muscle growth along with a healthy diet. With lots and lots of supplements for gaining weight that are in the market, it is better for you to work on your diet and exercise routine first rather than depending on the weight gain supplements' placebo promises. Working out your muscles can greatly help in growing your body and gain weight in the process. Let the supplement work as an additional nutrition for your body, not the only nutrition. That's why they are called supplements.

I have quit smoking but 6 month back than to I can not run for long. Can you suggest any kind of medicines for increasing stamina.

Lybrate-user if stamina was made through medicines than rich people would have been very fit. The best exercise to built stamina is running, jogging, exercise and good nd healthy diet. Just start running for 10 minutes everyday and cover 1km after 10 days cover 1.5 km in 10 minutes. Then go for 20 minutes then 30 minutes and track your record. But never go for medicine. Involve youself in some sports activities, you are just 24. You can easily do it.

My son who is 16 year, Just completed 12 std exam has a frequent problem of mouth ulcer. He take only house food, but when ever we are on family vacation he has this problem. Constipation is there. We are using honey treatment, multivitamin and vyzilac tab as treatment for 3 days. He is also using kayam churna tablet for two days for smooth bowel. Kindly advice.

Mouth ulcer suggest some form of vitamin deficiency or stress, he should drink plenty of water and eat lot of fiber containing foods and avoid junk food, limit non-veg diet to avoid constipation. Also make him a habit of going to toilet soon after waking up from the bed.

Hello give her cantharis 30 & capsicum 30 power both medicines together every 3 hourly 4-4 pills to be taken for 15-20 days. Give her more water. Be careful that she doesn't use public toilets. Reply after 15 days. Thanks take care.

Forget your Vitamin B12 level. You have lot many things to give your attention to. What is your actual problem for which you had gone for the test? Hope your purse is quite lighter now and feeling comfortable? You can take Vitamin B Complex (Becosule) 1 cap dailyafter BF. Possibly that is the cheapest among the good quality b complexes available.

Catching a cold once in a while is nothing to worry about, but needing to take sick leave every few weeks is a sign of low immunity. Immunity can be defined as our ability to fight infections. By eating right and making a few lifestyle changes, you can easily strengthen your immune system and lower your risk of catching infections. On that note, here are 10 ways to strengthen your immune system.

  1. Eat a balanced meal: Along with fruits and vegetables, your body also requires carbohydrates and proteins. Eating a balanced diet helps keep your blood sugar levels stable and allows your body to prioritize building your immune system over generating energy to perform normal tasks.
  2. Drink plenty of water: When you’re ill, fluids help transport nutrients to the infected area and flush out toxins from the same. Hence, it is important to stay hydrated in order to recover faster from an illness and to build your immune system.
  3. Probiotics: 80% of your immune system is located in the gut. Probiotics help the body produce more healthy gut bacteria. Thus, probiotics directly boost the immune system.

  7. Exercise: Regular exercise improves blood circulation and boosts the production of antibodies. A healthy circulatory system combined with antibodies enables your body to fight infections in any part of your body.
  8. Avoid tobacco and alcohol: Alcohol impairs the immune system and tobacco smoke weakens the body’s basic immune system. This holds true for both first hand and second hand smoke.
  9. Reduce stress: Stress increases the production of a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol suppresses the immune system and thus makes us more susceptible to illnesses.

Hymen presents just 1 inch deep from vaginal orifice. There is no role of penis length to break hymen. Only perfect erection is compulsory for it. In India averge penis size is 3.5 to 5 inches.

Only if the partner was affected you will get STD or HIV and and you can do a test after 3 months for Hiv and std will show its symptoms by now.
