You at your age are not advised to keep your legs folded and sit on floor, please use a chair to sit as sitting on floor leads to wear of knee cartilage and it can cause osteoarthritis. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hello, I am affected with polio and have disability of 55% in knee and ankle. I can walk without any support. I had undergone an operation at the age of 15 so that I could regain sensation in the left leg. I would like to know if there is any procedure that could help me to walk without any difficulty.

Yesterday I went to gym and doing exercise for back. There was one exercise with knees bent hips out and as I pulled the wait a deep pain occurred in my buttock and upper thigh. I am taking rest since then and applying warm water and ice at regular intervals but still the pain in my buttock is very high. If I lie down then it's difficult to get up and also I am unable to bend down. Please tell me what should I do.

Start with Physiotherapy treatment. Learn spinal exercises. START EXERCISES WHEN YOUR PAIN REDUCE. Wear lumber spine belt. Apply volini cream before sleeping. Don't lift heavy things. Don't do forward bending. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and methylcobalmine supplement. Get your x ray done.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily .Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. .Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana ? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello lybrate user I would like to advise you that the viral infection always harmful because of getting higher temp. Severe headache, loss of appetite, sneezing, nasal blowing and coughing. Throat infection, tonsillitis, laryngitis and other symtoms. It's virus influencing blood and shivering starts for 2-4 hour then high temp with all symptoms. It takes time up to 7 -10 days to normal but weakness, bodyache are remain. I would like to suggest you to follow the regular daily routines of getting all dietary measures, warm water boiled with ginger and tulasi leaves one cup every half-hour for whole day. She may use warm milk boiled with ginger, haldi and nuts every day before going to bed and at breakfast. She may use light diets and soups of carrots and beetroot with moong daal and green vegetables.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # change sleeping position. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same, you need specific treatment plan according to your symptoms.

Morning stiffness in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

I am a male and 59. 6 yrs old. I have severe lower back pain near yhe tail bone. It increases when I lie down horizontally on my back. After getting up and doing some activity it reduces. This has been going on for the last two years or so.

Sir as you said it seems like coccydenia, go for physiotherapy treatment and use air ring for sitting and avoid sitting on hard surface and do hot fomentation.

Dear, low back pain are often referred for physical therapy for four weeks as an initial conservative (nonsurgical) treatment option before considering other more aggressive treatments, including back surgery. The goals of physical therapy are to decrease back pain, increase function, and teach the patient a maintenance program to prevent future back problems. Common forms of physical therapy include: 1.Passive physical therapy (modalities), which includes things done to the patient, such as heat application, ice packs and electrical stimulation. For example, a heating pad may be applied to warm up the muscles prior to doing exercising and stretching, and an ice pack may be used afterward to sooth the muscles and soft tissues. OSee Physical Therapy: Passive PT (Modalities) for Back Pain 2.Active physical therapy, which focuses on specific exercises and stretching. For most low back pain treatments, active exercise is the focus of the physical therapy program. This article focuses on active physical therapy and exercise as a means to help recover from back problems and prevent or minimize future flare-ups of low back pain Low back pain has lasted between two and six weeks, or if there are frequent recurrences of low back pain, physical therapy is often recommended.
