Hi lybrate-user, Practice jacobs progressive muscle relaxation: This progressive muscle relaxation script relaxes your body and your mind. This relaxation technique starts by tensing one muscle group for five to 10 seconds. Then the same muscle group is relaxed letting the muscle go limp for 15-20 seconds. When I use this progressive muscle relaxation script with clients I find that this relaxation technique creates a deep sense of physical relaxation. Find a quiet place that is comfortable for you. Practice at a regular time during the day. Preferably not after you have eaten Find a comfortable position. If you are sitting, then keep your back straight and feet flat on the floor. If lying down (the preferred option as your body is supported by the floor) then you can put a pillow beneath your knees for extra support. Adopt a passive attitude to PMR. When tensing muscles (without straining), do so for roughly 5 seconds. When you relax your muscles do so for roughly 15-20 seconds before progressing to the next muscle group. Tense each muscle group once before progressing. Progressive muscle relaxation script Start out with a few relaxing breaths. Use the diaphragmatic breath, and as you exhale feel the tension begin to ebb away. Clench your fists. Move your awareness to your hands. Clench both of your fists for up to 5 seconds. Release for 15-20 seconds, imagining the tension ebbing out of your hands. Tighten your biceps. Move your attention to your arms. Draw your forearms toward your shoulders, creating a bicep. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. As you release and imagine the tension flowing out of your biceps. Forehead and scalp. Move your attention to your forehead. As you inhale lift your eyebrows and wrinkle your forehead. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. As you release, feel the relaxation of the muscles of the forehead. Facial muscles. Move your attention to your facial muscles. Furrow your eyebrows and purse your lips. Try to pull all of your facial muscles towards your nose. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. As you release feel the relaxation of the facial muscles. Jaw. Bring your attention to your jaw. Clench your jaw tightly, feeling the tension in the surrounding muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Relax the muscles and allow the tension to disappear. You may feel your mouth begin to open a little. Neck and shoulders. Now bring your awareness this region. Shrug your shoulders towards your ears. Feel the tension in the surrounding muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the muscles ebb away. Upper back/shoulders. Now bring your awareness between the shoulder blades. Push your shoulder blades back as if you were trying to get them to touch. Feel the tension in the surrounding muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in between the shoulder blades ebb away. Upper chest. Now bring your awareness to your upper chest. Tighten the chest muscles and hold. Feel the tension in the upper chest muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the chest muscles flow away. Stomach. Now bring your awareness to your navel area. Try to draw your navel in to your backbone. Feel your stomach muscles tighten. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the abdominal muscles dissipate. Buttocks. Now bring your awareness to your buttocks area. Squeeze your buttocks together, consciously tightening the muscles in this region. Hold, hold hold…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in these muscles disappear. Thighs. Now bring your awareness to your thigh muscles. Try not to contract your stomach muscles as you consciously tighten your upper thigh muscles. Hold, hold hold…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the thigh muscles dissipate. Calves. Now bring your focus to your calf muscles. Consciously tighten your calf muscles by pointing your toes. Hold, hold hold…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the calf muscles flow away. Feet. Now bring your focus of attention to your feet. Tighten your feet by curling your toes toward the ground. Hold, hold and hold some more…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the feet flow away. Mentally scan your body for any residual tension. If you find a muscle group with residual tension then tense and relax this area again. Feel a wave of relaxation, from the top of your head to the tip of your toes. When you are ready bring your awareness back to your breath and slowly open your eyes. This entire progressive muscle relaxation sequence should take you 15-25 minutes.

Yellow urine if associated with following symtoms than suggest urinary tract infection frequent urination/fever with chills/burning or pain while urination or it may be due to jaundice we have to investigate to confirm infection in urine so kindly get urine r/m done and lft done and consult again with reports and follow advises given below: 1. Drink lot of water 2. Maintain hygiene 3. Avoid synthetic undergarment and prefer cotton consult physician/me for further management.

Dengue Fever is Caused due to the bite of an infected female aedes aegypti mosquito, the disease can be fatal if Dengue Hemorrhagic fever or dengue shock syndrome developed Once bitten it takes about 3-10 days for the symptoms to appear. The most common symptoms are – 1.High fever 2.Severe Headache 3.Pain behind the eyes 4.Nausea and vomiting 5.Swollen lymph node 6.Muscle and Joint Pain 7.Exhaustion 8.Skin rash Following tips for Prevention of Dengue fever : 1. Turn over empty pails and buckets, so that they do not collect excess water. If the container that contains water cannot be emptied, remember to cover it well when not in use. 2: Remember to clean out empty flower pots and not to over water potted plants. It is advised to not have any stagnant water around as it acts as breeding ground for the mosquitoes. 3: Apply mosquito repellents on all exposed areas, during the day as well as at night on a regular basis to prevent dengue. 4: Make sure your window and door screens do not have any holes. If so, block those areas properly to eliminate mosquitoes. 5: If someone at home is ill with dengue, try to not let the mosquitoes bite them or others in the house. 6: sleep under a mosquito net (especially small children as they sleep during the day and hence, the chance of mosquito bite is high during this time). 7: If you use a cooler remember to empty out and clean the water tray regularly, even when not in use. 8: Always cover your dustbin when not in use. 9: A natural method to keep mosquitoes at bay is to plant Tulsi near your window. The plant has properties that do not allow mosquitoes to breed. 10: Using camphor as a repellent also works wonders. Light camphor in a room and close all the doors and windows. Leave it this way for about fifteen to twenty minutes to have a mosquito free environment

Hi lybrate-user, you are doing good in controlling portions and there's no harm in frequent eating or eating small portions at short interval of time. The need is to choose healthy options. You can binge on healthy roasted snacks/namkeen/makhana/fruits/salads/any clear soup/fresh seasonal juice/herbal juices/coconut water. 2) another option is to drink water before meals. That will help you in overeating. 3) you can also split your meals like if you are suppose to eat chapaties with veg+dal+curd+slaads. So do not all of these together. You can eat a bowl of salads first, after some time chapati with veg, then a bowl of dal and after half an hr curd. In this way you will never feel hungry and of course no overeating too.

Hello, a person with diabetes should follow these guidelines with regard to diet: 1) avoid sweets, deep fried foods, pastries, other bakery items, junk foods, items made of maida, fructose corn syrup containing food products, highly processed food products, sweetened aerated drinks (colas) and high fat milk products. 2) consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (100 g a day). 3) use whole grain flour and whole grain food products. 4) total calories should be matching the need based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood glucose levels. 5) avoid red meat, fish, eggs (white), dressed chicken are preferred. 6) refrain from alcohol and smoking thanks.

MOSQUITOES-AND DISEASES FACTS TO BE KNOWN

While dengue mosquito is a day biter, the malaria mosquito is a night biter. Therefore mosquito precautions should be taken 24 x 7.
Even a small reservoir of water like a bottle cap, paper cups, paper plates, Chai Ka Kullarh etc. Can be a breeding place for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes only require a micro environment to grow.
Breeding of mosquito in medical establishments is a medical negligence. It can spread Vector Borne Diseases to patients with low immunity leading to high mortality.
Treating Falciparum malaria with a single drug is a medical negligence. Such patients should be treated with Artemisinin combination therapy (ACT).
While malaria mosquito bites one person in 3 days, dengue mosquito bites 3 persons in a day.
Malaria can be diagnosed by using Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) and the test can remain positive upto 3 weeks, after treatment is completed and after the blood has become negative for malaria parasite.
The mosquito which creates noise in the night is culex (Filaria mosquito) and not malaria and dengue mosquitoes.
In Malaria, if fever persists after 72 hours, one should suspect drug resistance.
In dengue unless there is bleeding, platelets transfusion is not required.
In dengue, if we keep difference between upper and lower blood pressure more than 40 most deaths can be saved.

Whether p24 antigen test in hiv can be used to detect late seroconversion cases. As p24 antigen will not fade away and remain there due to no formation of antibodies. So p24 antigen shall be available even after 6/9 months and this can be further used to further hiv diagnosis.

Dear brachial plexus injury that happened three years ago is not easy to treat. After reading what information you have given the first thing that comes to my mind is to do active and passive physiotherapy. At this stage get a nerve conduction study done, that will give information about the viability of nerves. Once that is know a further treatment plan can be charted. Regards
