You can put medeal arch support inside your shoes. Do calf muscle streching. Put weight on your lateral side of foot always. Try to put your feet on inward position when you walk. Don't lock your knee when you standing.(hyperextension)

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello, your problem is may be due to following reasons- 1. Overweight, 2. Deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium, or lack of water in the body, 3. Postural stress, 4. Muscle strain, 5. Arthritis etc. Please send me all investigation reports if available. Till then follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I can explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques, if interested. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your neck pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any radiating upper limb pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias ( electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. To reduce ldl level in body: * avoid butter, ghee & cream in your diet. * eat five leaves of kari patta and five leaves of neem once in a day. * avoid non veg food because it contain high fat content. * do not eat fast food and avoid cold drink. * do running and jogging daily for 15 minutes. Start with 5 minutes then increase time period slowly. Do morning and evening walk daily. * do not drink alcohol it harmful to your liver and disturb your metabolism causes increase in cholesterol. * add kali mirch (black pepper) in your breakfast. * drink 6 to 7 glass of water daily. * take sound sleep in night of 6 to 7 hrs. Do not take stress.

Kidney. Pain tk proper treatment and should drink the water 15 glasses ever day. For leg and joint pain tk calcium supplements in oral ya medicine form and do stretching exercise and do heat formation twice a day.

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Knee Replacement Surgery

I am Dr Hardik Ghundiyal, practising orthopaedics surgeon since 7 years in Bombay. I am mainly into minimal Invasive Joint replacement surgeries.

Knee Replacement surgeries have been done all over the globe since last 30 years. And they have been very successful. In the past, if the patients had arthritis, we could only give them pain killers. But as if now when a patient comes with knee stiffness, pain, deformity, we can provide them with the total knee replacement. We always give a non-surgical conservative approach to the patient when the patient comes with arthritis. If that fails and they are not relieved from the pain, then we give them the option of total knee replacement. About 5,000,00 total knee replacement is being done all over the globe every year. Most of the people who have experienced knee replacement they think that they could have done it before because the pain relief is so good.

When we do a total knee replacement, we do not cut 2 inches or 3 inches of bone from the thigh, instead, we do re-surfacing of the knee. In the normal knee, there are smooth surfaces on the both sides which glide easily when the movement of the knees are done. But in the arthritic knee, the surface is pitted and get rough because of which the pain is there when they glide on each other.

In the total knee replacement surgery, we change the rougher surface into a smooth gliding prosthetic material so that they glide on each other without any pain and patient get pain free movements. The material has been improved drastically from last 15-20 years. The process however remains the same but the plastics, the poly ethylene which is used in between the metal surfaces have been improved drastically by durability as well as the strength. The research has improved the longevity and the prosthesis.

During surgery, we use a muscle sparing approach, that means we do not cut-open muscles while doing the surgery. The patient is mobile as early as possible. The patient is able to stand and walk up on the same day of the surgery. If a patient is comfortable, we make them able to walk also. Hence the hospital stay is reduced and it is minimized to 2-3 days only.

The recovery of the patients depends on how active was the patient pre-operative. Some patients need a walker, walking aid, some patients are mobile without any support. Most of the times, you can get back an activity within month time a surgery.

I am 22 years old. Getting back pain once in a month and stays for 1 day. I have this problem from 1 year. When I bend I get a nerve pain which is streched from back to foot.(right leg. Im afraid if it is a major problem. Give me a solution which can be solved by me mostly. I think I got dis pain since I do masturbatation and loose sperms and lots of energy. Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility. Please consult a Orthopedic Physiotherapist for the right exercise plan. Best wishes.
