Hi, long standing deeper cavities can render the tooth non-vital and this might be the reason your tooth is not aching currently. Its advisable to consult your dentist as soon as possible and get the tooth treated, if not it might lead to serious infections in the later stages and the tooth might go for extraction.

Sir, its necessary that when you brush your teeth food debris get removed. There is no fun of brushing if debris are still there. So important is right techniques as wrong method to brush your may also lead to teeth damage.

Usually more calculus (deposits) will affect your gums. So scaling ie the must to remove those calculus. After scaling, most patients will experience those gaps. Gaps are due the removal of the calculus which was previously filled by calculus. Gaps will close by itself once your gums heal. If not so, you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure.

Avoid sticky sweets, such as toffees, soft candies and pastries. These types of foods stick to your teeth and feed decay-causing bacteria. When you do eat sweets, eat them after a meal. When candies are eaten alone, they are more likely to remain stuck between your teeth.

Bleeding is also due to infected & swollen gums. Advise investigation (OPG x-ray) with clinical examination for the treatment to check for bone loss & pockets. Adv. Artificial enamel filling, deep cleaning or surgical curettage (involves whole cleaning of tooth, bone and gums), a gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person.
