hello lybrate user, as of now, give her simple food like blend khichdi (overcooked dal rice). avoid spicy food, drink plenty of water, give her ORS water to maintain hydration. take homeopathic treatment for persistent loose motion. it's very safe and highly effective treatment for diarrhea. you can message me back for proper homeopathic treatment and remedy prescription.

It will grow 2 cm in the first 3 months and then till 6 months 1 cm per month and thereafter 0.5 cm till one year. If it's not growing you may have to do a ct scan and consult your pediatrician.

Your problem is due to faulty dietary habits. Give him home made wholesome meals at frequent intervals wrapped in love & affection. Do not bribe him for eating have patience. He will recover in 3-4 months.

I suggest you to stop or avoid formula milk as it can not replace the breast milk in its nutritional value. Try to breast feed your baby completely atleast for 6 months of age and later shift to formula feeds. Stress and other factors contribute to lesser production of breast milk so avoid stress and let your baby suckle to your breast as much as possible as it will stimulate milk production. Consult your gynaecologist if possible so that she can prescribe you some medication to increase your milk production.

Dear Sir/Madam, My son is 3.10 year old, weight 13 kg. He get rashes in the joints (underarm, hand and leg joints), which often turn into a dark patch. We consulted a skin specialist who told us that it is an Aotopy and suggested medicines Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion (entire body) and Lutica-Fluticasone Cream IP 0.05% w/w 10gm (small quantity to be applied on the rashes) everyday. However, this give a temporary solution on rashes, when we stop Lutica cream those rashes comes again. We have even started homeopathy treatment but don't see much results. We also did his blood test IgE 984.00. So I wanted to check if this is a right treatment or so I do anything else?

After reading history and analysing medications given by Skin specialist it seems that your child is having eczema. This is type of allergic condition of the skin which makes skin dry, rough and pigmented with the time. Child usually out grows of it by age of 6 years. There is no any particular medicine to cure allergy. The first line of treatment is applying moisturizer creams and when it is not controlled by alone moisturizer creams then low potency steroid creams like fluticasone needs to be applied daily till it comes under control. Rashes are usually seen more during winter season. You can keep allergy under control but can't cure it. Raised IgE level proves that there is no alternate diagnosis.

Common Skin Problems in Newborns

Mongolian Spot

This is extremely common in Indian babies. This appears as a blue-grey patch on the buttocks or the lower back. The patch can be quite large in size. They look unsightly, but apart from the cosmetic appearance, they do not cause any problems. Often parents confuse it with a bruise and see a dermatologist when it doesn?t settle down. This can be safely ignored and it may either disappear or become smaller with age.
