I have a huge pain in my teeth and I had done a scan also to my tooth which option will be better whether shall I do root canal or remove the teeth.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Root canal treatment is the best option where you can save our own teeth. It includes removal of infected pulp and restoring it with medicated material. It is the permanent solution for decayed tooth.

Professional scaling is very important to maintain a good oral hygiene. It should be done every six months. It helps in removing plaque, calculus, tartar which keeps depositing on teeth regularly and ultimately damages the teeth making it mobile by receding the gums. It also cause bleeding gums and bad breath. It may lead to several systemic diseases like heart failure, diabetes, liver and kidney distinction etc. So visit your dentist for regular checkup and dental cleaning.

Fill the caries teeth. If your tooth is broken from middle and if it extends to root you have to extract the tooth. If it does not extend to root you can reproduce the tooth with composite build up or fo for a crown.

My mother fell and cracked a vertebrae. She has osteoporosis. She was given a brace but it doesn't seem to be helping. Is there any treatment for this?

MBBS, MS, DNB, FNB (SPINE SURGERY)
Orthopedist, Chennai
Osteoporotic vertebral fractures usually become painless by 4 to 6 weeks as the fracture heals. Medicines, rest and brace are initial treatment. Sometimes the fracture doesn't heal well and pain persists. Vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty are the procedures usually done in such situation for pain relief. They are minimally invasive as bone cement is injected into the fractured vertebra through a needle. These procedures give immediate pain relief. You must see a spine surgeon to see if it is suitable for her. Medical treatment for osteoporosis should go on at the same time.

I am 23, I am wearing adult braces for 1 year now.in the past few months, after the gaps between my teeth are getting closed, some of my teeth is getting elevated. Like a little crooked, and uneven level from other teeth. Is this normal? Or some mistake done by my orthodontist?

PGCE
Dentist, Gurgaon
As the treatment is ongoing, I would suggest you to get a clarity for the same from your orthodontist. Might be a part of correction of the malallignment. Pre-operative pictures are required to help you better.

I am 26 year old male. I am having a small black spot at the center of last teeth of both side and look like a germs in mouth. I don't have any problem yet with this. Should I have to take any treatment for this or let it be same as it is.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
You must show this to a dentist and get treament for it. You might only need a small filling. But if you let it be the cavity will increase and could later give you pain, which would need more extensive treatment.

Hello, I am so tired to remove yellow color shadow in my teeth but it act like hero I mean it not removed in properly, I has a treatment finely at teeth specialist but it not be removed inside of the teeth, kindly help me pls, thank u.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Sir my teath is yellow colour please kuch dawai bataye teath ko white karne ke liye.

BDS, Non-Resident J.R. in Dept. of Orthodontics, Certified oral implantologist, Advanced Aesthetics, Digital Smile Designer
Dentist, Jammu
Tooth staining occurs due to oil and turmeric content of food. To prevent staining make a habit of doing gargles everytime you eat something, also do brush regularly (once in the morning before meals and once at night after dinner, add a mouthwash for better oral hygiene. This will keep your teeth shining and whiter always if the problem persist, you need to consult a dentist for more specific diagnosis and treatment would be tailored accordingly.
