Hi I am a 20 year old women (just turned 20 last month. I had an i-pill within 24 hours of having sex with my bf just after 4 days of my periods last month (17th april. He inserted in me. After 5 days of the i-pill I faced some white discharge for a while. And now from the past 3 days I have been having symptoms like tender breast, cramps and withdrawl bleeding and yesterday I started getting back ache. My next periods are due on 5th. I am really worried that I might be pregnant. Please help me. And I know that a test would be of no use till 5th. I am very worried about myself. What do I do?

You need to have a regular cycle while using the calendar method. It works best when you have a 28 to 30 days cycle. You need to opt for the artificial measures if your periods are irregular. You can opt for oral contraceptives in this case or may use a barrier method. The calendar method shall also be effective in case your period lasts for less than 28 days. Take a calendar and pencil the dates which are safe and those which are not. This is the best way to track your infertile and fertile days. You need not calculate manually and keep in mind the days when you had unprotected sex. Make sure to track your period pattern for at least a year so that you can establish a pattern. Keep a note of the start and the end date of your cycle. You can use the rhythm method when you have the basic pattern right. Mark the first day of your cycle and count days until the next cycle starts. Your safe days are 8 days before beginning of your next cycle. The 9th to the 18th day is said to be the most unsafe as you start ovulating at this time. It is better to avoid sexual intercourse at this time if you don? t want to get pregnant. You must be careful of the sexually transmitted disease at this time, as the calendar method does not protect from the disease in any way.

Hi !Samantha, Laser is the best and only permanent solution for unwanted hair. Lasers in Beuty Clinics can never give you results. E + Laser treatment done by a qualified and experienced doctor can give you very good results. Except for this there is no other treatment that can remove your hair permanently, and they may lead to frustration because they are not successful.

Dear user Breast ptosis is the term used for loose breasts. It happens either with ageing as the skin and fibres in body become loose or in very lean patients or with sudden weight loss. Mastopexy is the surgical option for loose breasts;in this the breast becomes firm and also is lifted from sagging . Giving proper shape to breast increases the aesthetic appearance of breasts. Consult a plastic surgeon for that. You can go in for a private consultation where you can share your problems in more details along with the photographs also.

After delivery why skin becomes loose & shape of the body also changed. please tell what to do.?

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science

This is a very natural process. The body has gone through a major physical change during pregnancy. Also the change in body shape and fat distribution is a need to maintain the immunity of mother and child. You must try to eat healthy and keep physically fit after a period of time the body will gradually go back to your almost previous shape and weight.

Congratulations lybrate-user for entering into the wonderful state of motherhood. You seem to be very anxious - just be relaxed and normal. It is more important to remain normal and cool rather than taking medicines or thinking about such petty things. Having food and water that is keeping you fresh and healthy all through the day with a good night's sleep is the prime requirement for a healthy pregnancy. So just sit back and relax - everything will be fine.

All About Angioplasty

MBBS, MS (Gen. Surgery), M.Ch - Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, DNB (CTS)
Cardiologist, Noida
All About Angioplasty

Angioplasty is referred to as a cardiac procedure, which involves widening the narrowed section of a coronary artery. Usually performed by an interventional cardiologist, this procedure is performed in a cardiac catheterization lab, short for a cath lab. An interventional cardiologist takes extra care to review the risks, in addition to obtaining your counsel prior to preparing you for the procedure. The physician also refers to your medical history in order to determine the amount of anesthesia that should be used.

What happens during the procedure?
Although mild sedatives will be administered to help you relax, the process requires you to remain awake throughout the procedure. The procedure of angioplasty involves cardiac catheterization. The doctor numbs the intended site through medications and inserts the catheter. Following such the doctor inserts a thin sheath in your artery, oftentimes in your groin or arm. A long, narrow, empty tube known as a catheter, is then carefully guided through the sheath, through the blood vessels and into the arteries near the heart.

A little amount of liquid is then injected through the catheter, which is moved through the chambers, valves and vessels of the heart. This movement is then pictured with the help of X-rays, with which the doctors can diagnose the condition and working of the coronary arteries and the heart valve.

The surgical procedure lasts for around 1.5 - 2.5 hours, but the preparation and post - surgical procedures may take several hours. A patient is usually made to stay overnight to be monitored by medical personnel.

What to expect before an Angioplasty?
Most people are made to undergo a blood test and electrocardiogram before having an angioplasty. Usually scheduled a day before the procedure, such tests usually require separate appointments. Usually patients are restricted to eat since 12 hours before the exam.

What happens post-procedure?
After the procedure, you will be instructed to remain flat for 5-6 hours without bending your legs, so as to prevent bleeding. The nurse will instruct you as to when you can get up from your bed. You may not be permitted to drink or eat until the groin sheath is removed as such can cause nausea.

According to the procedure, the doctor will provide you with adequate after care advice.

It happens ,that after taking Ipill, your periods get disturbed for the time being.Although chances of pregnancy are negligible as you have had sex in almost your safe period but I will advise you to undergo URINE PREGNANCY TEST as a precautionary measure,You will soon get your periods once urine test shows negative results.
