Hi, braces would be a good option for closing the gaps. Other option would be to go for veneers. Do visit your dentist to determine the best possible option.

How to stop Pieria of mouth I am suffering since last two years please send me a solution.
- use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water or hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums. - eat a balanced diet and limit snacking between meals. Carbohydrates and sugars feed dental plaque. - try an oral irrigation device, commonly known as a" water pick, to clear debris from around the gum line. - have your dentures aligned as needed. - you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

I am 25year old male I have a problem smelling in my breath last 3 year. I do complete checkup and treatment for dentist but not solved(relief) problem. What should I do?

Sir, if the problem is still there, that means cause is also there. Please read the causes and evaluate yourself for the problem. There have been myriad other reported causes of oral halitosis-. Deep carious lesions (dental decay)? which cause localized food impaction and stagnation recent dental extraction sockets? fill with blood clot, and provide an ideal habitat for bacterial proliferation interdental food packing? (food getting pushed down between teeth) - this can be caused by missing teeth, tilted, spaced or crowded teeth, or poorly contoured approximal dental fillings. Food debris becomes trapped, undergoes slow bacterial putrefaction and release of malodorous volatiles. Food packing can also cause a localized periodontal reaction, characterized by dental pain that is relieved by cleaning the area of food packing with interdental brush or floss. Acrylic dentures (plastic false teeth)? inadequate denture hygiene practises such as failing to clean and remove the prosthesis each night, may cause a malodour from the plastic itself or from the mouth as microbiota responds to the altered environment. The plastic is actually porous, and the fitting surface is usually irregular, sculpted to fit the edentulous oral anatomy. These factors predispose to bacterial and yeast retention, which is accompanied by a typical smell. Oral infections oral ulceration fasting stress/anxiety menstrual cycle? at mid cycle and during menstruation, increased breath vsc were reported in women. Smoking? smoking is linked with periodontal disease, which is the second most common cause of oral malodor. Smoking also has many other negative effects on the mouth, from increased rates of dental decay to premalignant lesions and even oral cancer. Alcohol volatile foodstuffs? e. G. Onion, garlic, durian, cabbage, cauliflower and radish. Volatile foodstuffs may leave malodorous residues in the mouth, which are the subject to bacterial putrefaction and vsc release. However, volatile foodstuffs may also cause halitoisis via the blood borne halitosis mechanism. Medication? often medications can cause xerostomia (dry mouth) which results in increased microbial growth in the mouth. There are a few systemic (non-oral) medical conditions that may cause foul breath odor, but these are extremely infrequent in the general population. Such conditions are:[22][23] fetor hepaticus: an example of a rare type of bad breath caused by chronic liver failure. Lower respiratory tract infections (bronchial and lung infections). Renal infections and renal failure. Carcinoma. Trimethylaminuria (" fish odor syndrome"). Diabetes mellitus. Metabolic conditions, e. G. Resulting in elevated blood dimethyl sulfide.[8]

My question is my left side teeth is paining and I went to the doctor but I didn't get relief. Tell what I can did.
Kindly get an x-ray done of the tooth having pain. May be you will have to get root canal treatment done followed by a crown or cap. Till then you can take a pain killer like tab ketorol dt 2 tablets dissolved in water. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

I am about 20 years old. Is it possible for me to remove the gap between the teeth by using dental braces.

BDS
Dentist, Gurgaon
I am about 20 years old. Is it possible for me to remove the gap between the teeth by using dental braces.
yes my orthodontic treatment it is possible. One of the best ways to close spaces between front teeth is by bonding composite resin to natural tooth structure to change the width of the teeth. This technique requires minimal or no removal of tooth structure, therefore does not affect the strength and vitality of the natural tooth. The dentist can select composite resin from a variety of shades, making sure the restorations blend perfectly with the rest of the dentition. The composite resin becomes an extension of the natural tooth and the distinction between the two is imperceptible. This treatment option provides excellent esthetic results while being very conservative, entirely reversible, fast and economical in comparison to braces or crowns.

Learn The Ideal Brushing Habits!

Brushing too hard.

All of us have heard by now that brushing hard may not be the solution to our dental woes.Going the soft gentle and frequent way is what we need to do so if you're still in the habit of waging a morning battle with your teeth let's try and remind ourselves to be gentle and clean them like porcelain not scrub them like the toilet bowl.

Hardly brushing.

If you're in the habit of hardly brushing which means either brushing too quickly or brushing just once a day it can cost you!

As food accumulates and bacteria breakdown this accumulated food into acids which dissolve enamel -cavities are formed. These cavities need dental visits to fill up.

If small they can be done sooner and economically but if large they can end up causing you a lot of pain and even requiring multiple avoidable sittings.

Brushing with hard bristles.

Hard bristles tend to damage the teeth and we see multiple patients with severely work down teeth by just self inflicted brushing damage. Imagine thinking you're preventing a problem and actually creating one. While we commend the efforts of anyone who looks after their oral health we also ensure that overzealous brushes should use nothing more than extra soft bristles.

Not replacing your brush.

Replacing your brush is the most neglected aspect of oral hygiene that leaves everyone guessing  and being a small detail even your dentist would most likely forget to discuss it. So here's the answer to your dilemma of when to replace your brush - ideally every 3-4 months or when the bristles start to fray whichever happens first.

Replacing brushes or brush heads has even proven to reduce throat infections as old bristles tend to start harbouring bacteria besides being inefficient at cleaning as well.

Not flossing.

Flossing hasn't been in our culture or education. We probably encountered a floss much later than we saw or learnt to use a brush. It's very important that just like brushing is second nature to us or comes automatically so should flossing be taught and instilled in our system.

Flossing prevents the most number of cavities even more than brushing since not all brushes reach the areas that entrap food but floss definitely does.

It is ideally recommended to start your cleaning routine by flossing and then brushing.

An inexpensive method to save a lot of time and dental costs.

All toothpaste have nearly similar ingredients like Abrasives, Fluorides, Surfactants, Antibacterial agents, Flavourants, Remineralizers, Fluoride, Diethylene glycol, Triclosan etc. Only the wrong brushing technique that we follow harms our teeth and gums. So consult your dentist, learn proper brushing technique, Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush to protect your teeth and gums from plaque and calculus. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Consume a healthy diet rich in vegetables and lean protein. Eating fruits is much better than drinking juices. Reduce your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Drink plenty of fluoridated tap water. Drink not consume alcohol drinks. Don’t smoke.

Hello lybrate-user, your case appears to be that of a failed root canal treatment (rct). Ideally, in an rct-treated tooth, there is no vital tissue or nerve that can cause pain. However, in your case, it seems as if the procedure was not done properly. Taking pain killers will only provide transient relief. Most likely, you will be required to undergo a re-rct to get permanent riddance from this problem. Before initiating the re-rct, however, you will be required to take a 3-day course of medication.
