Mix one teaspoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of common salt in a cup of water. 1. Small doses of this mixture (around a quarter cup) can be given whenever the patient is thirsty. 2. Take one teaspoon of isabgol (psyllium husk) with one cup of yogurt. 3. Take 1 ab sporolac thrice a day. 4. Take light diet like moong dal or khichidi, or dalia. 5. If symptoms persist consult a physician clinically.

How to reduce risk of diabetes ?
Following are the tips to prevent onset/or control diabetes 1-Losing Extra Weight:-The most significant thing which can make a big difference to your health is to lose your extra weight. This will not only lower your blood pressure but also helps lowering your cholesterol too. For woman: waist of 80 cm or more & for man: waist of 90 cm or more are at risk 2- Constant and regular food timings :-the timings at which you have your meals should be set fixed and at regular intervals each day. This will considerably improve your metabolic activity and helps reducing your weight. 3- Split your meals and eating in moderate amount:-Splitting your meals into 3-4 times per day (including snacks)and eating in fair and consistent amount , improves your metabolic rate as the food u take is not concentrated at one time. 4- No long Gaps and skipping of meals:-There should be no long gaps between meals. Never miss out breakfast. 5- No overeating:-Never eat in a bulk on one time .Try to have moderate amount of food each time u eat. It will help maintain your blood sugar at a healthy level and won’t let it to fluctuate. Remember to eat your food slowly, chew well. 6- Proper Exercise and work outs:-Exercise is very important and a fast way to trim down calories, extra weight and controlling glucose level. Brisk walking for 30 min. atleast five times a week is the best and easiest way of exercising. You can also try Cycling, swimming, dancing. Timings for exercise should be fixed and regular. Avoid heavy exercise. Do not eat right away after a workout . 7-constant and regular timings for medication 8-Avoid fried foods and meat: Limit fats and sweets. Rather choose a variety of foods including whole grains, fresh vegetables, salads, fruits, low fat dairy products. 9- Take high-fibre and complex carbohydrates:-like oats as they are easily broken down to basic sugars. Add whole grain foods in your diet. Avoid carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, pizza , candies, and snacks .Instead include high-fiber carbohydrates like wheat bran, flaxseed and methi seeds to your wheat flour. This will increase fibre in your diet. 10-Drink enough fluids:-Keep your body well hydrated. Drink a lot of water that will help flush the toxins off your system. 11.Fresh vegetables and fruits:- gives essential benefits as these contain a lot of vital minerals as well as nutrients .Include sprouts in the diet as they are easily digestible and a rich source of nutrients. 12- Avoid excess salt:-in form of pickles/papads etc. 1 tsp(5 gm)is sufficient for a healthy hypertensive individual. 13-Avoid alcohol consumption:-Alcohols such as beer and wine contains large amount of calories. choose sugar-free drink. 14- dairy products :-Dairy products are high on fat content such as cheese, curd, milk etc. So instead consume skimmed milk products , low fat cheese, yogurt (curd) etc. Do not have more than two cups of tea or coffee every day. Try green tea instead.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Take light dinner. 6.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. 7.Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 8. Avoid late night., and don’t sleep in day timeDon’t take sleeping pill.9. If no relief consult doctor

1. Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit like orange grape, lemon, tomato, cucumber, raddish, vinegar, pickle etc 2. Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3. Eat food slowly, don’t rush, take smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat. Limit fluid intake during meal4. Drink plenty of water (8-10 glass daily). Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee, carbonated drinks if you are having,6. Avoid stress, have adequate rest, sleep for 7-8 hours daily in night, go for regular exercise, practice yoga/meditation 7. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days

Yes you can go for second marriage.Do exercise daily 45 min walk or you can do Suriya Namaskaar 5 times in a day. Aviod all high carbohydrates food and fruits. Follow small meal pattern and don't skip your meal timings.

Hi. You are suffering from IBS and there is also a element of functional dyspepsia. Both are stress related diseases. So apart from writing so many medications I also advice dietary precautions ad lifestyle changes. 1. Avoid stress and anxiety (can do yoga) 2. Drink adequate water for good stool formation 3. Stop tea/coffee/tobacco/alcohol/spicy/oily food 4. Reduce milk but increase curd and paneer 5. Do not lie down immediately after meals 6. Increase salad/fruits/green veggie for medications you can consult oline. Thanks.

Hypothyroid and latest test showed normal free T3 and T4 and Tsh was 8.5. Now on 50 mcg thyroxine. Previous test showed prolactin levels to be 29.8 and just completed 30 days course of MCBM 69 and B-Long. On cycle day 42 today and sexually active, no sign so early pregnancy and haven't taken a HPT yet. What is your advice? When should I repeat my tests?

Lybrate-user, if you are having hypothyroidism and taking treatment, then it is essential to bring tsh levels down to <2 mu/l, otherwise conception may not occur. Further through out pregnancy tsh should be maintained as follows: 1st trimester 0.1 to 2 mu/l, 2nd trimester 0.3 to 3 mu/l & 3rd trimester 0.3 to 3.1 mu/l. If tsh levels go higher than above mentioned, then fetal development is affected, miscarriage may occur, pregnancy out come at full term may not good. So please take care of the tsh levels. Thanks.

Dear lybrate user, may be something is bothering you. That is why you are losing sleep. You said you are worried about your future. But you are just 20 years old. You have lots of time to plan for your future. Have a goal in life. Think about what you want to become in life. And start working towards that dream. Have rational expectations from yourself. Work hard. If you have some personal issues to be resolved, try to discuss it with some one who you trust, and try to find best possible options. There will be challenges at every stage and age in life. Make yourself strong enough to face it. If you are sleeping in the afternoon, stop that. At night, before going to bed, close your eyes, take 10 deep breaths. With closed eyes concentrate on your head and tell your muscles to relax, then move towards face, relax facial muscles and this way help your entire body muscles to relax. If you wish, recite some verses from the holy koran which will help in calming your mind. Take care.

Repeated uti in your age could be due to large prostate which requires surgery. However exact cause of uti needs to be found out to cure it. Antibiotics are for short term only.
