Mam, Good day. Apple cider vinegar Lowers cholesterol level and inclusion of two tablespoons of this vinegar can help tacking high cholesterol effectively. Please advise how many times in a day this is to be taken. This vinegar can't be taken plain, it has to be taken with water. Await your reply ASAP.

Treatment for multiple blockages of heart is only bypass surgery but people get scared of it and seek other therapies & waste lots of time. Please go to a reputed heart hospital and get operated.

My wife is 28 years old woman and has a low BP and her hemoglobin is just 9.4 what can her do.

M.B.B.S. , PG Diploma In Clinical Cardiology
Cardiologist, Delhi
Hi dear noted all your details the condition your wife is suffering from is called ORTHOSTATIC hypotension Orthostatic hypotension — also called postural hypotension — is a form of low blood pressure that happens when you stand up from sitting or lying down. It can be because of anemia also, try to correct the cause of her rectal bleeding I would suggest her drinking enough fluids, such as water; drinking little to no alcohol; avoiding walking during hot weather; elevating the head of your bed; and standing up slowly. Compression stockings and garments or abdominal binders may help reduce the pooling of blood in your legs and reduce the symptoms of orthostatic hypotension. Try to find out the cause of rectal bleed and treat the anaemia thanks.

I am a 40 year old man. Tell me how to avoid using medicines for existing High BP.
Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels. **********need to rule out the cause********

I do not smoke and drink, non-egg eater, pure vegetarian. I am not also a Hypertension patient and my BP went up due to heavy bleeding from my nose. Soon after it became normal and remains so even now. I think my septum deviation must have caused such a large amount of bleeding, never occurred to me for the last 20 years.

Sir. It is other way round. It is your hypertension that caused bleeding nose. Our nose has a lining membrane called nasal mucosa which contains blood vessels and due to aging they become stiff loosing ability to contract in response to injury/bleeding. Your hypertension creates increased pressure in the blood vessel leading to bleeding. Correction of deviated nasal septum and removal of any spurs in the septum, may solve your problem provided hypertension is under control.

High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain.garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .
