Hi lybrate-user, Do not worry. If the gap is small, it can be closed using cosmetic fillings or veneers. You just need to visit a good endodontist or a prosthodontist as they are qualified aesthetic dentist. It might cost you a bit but they will take care of your problem completely.

I have cavity in my teeth. What should I do to remove the cavity. And keep it properly? Please help.

MDS(Prosthodontist), BDS
Dentist, Gurgaon
Cavity cannot be removed by homeremedy or any medication. As the teeth is divided in three layers outermost hardest layer which protect against senstivity to hot and cold food and drinks, middle one being dentin which is the sensitive part of your teeth and innermost is the pulp which houses all the nerve and blood supply to your teeth. So, cavity which is known as caries effecting which layer of your teeth will determine its treatment so, kindly visit dentist as early as possible for better outcome of treatment which will be beneficial for saving your teeth.

My teeth is in yellow color and hair is in black to white colour why? Please help me.

My teeth is in yellow color and hair is in black to white colour why? Please help me.
There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including: foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth. Tobacco use. Smoking or chewing tobacco can stain teeth. Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing. Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

Sugary foods should be consumed in limited quantities as the bacteria in dental plaque changes them into acids.

The last tooth of my upper jaw is slightly broken and it pains sometimes because of which i face problem in chewing. As it is the primary tooth in chewing. It happens only if some hard thing or stone comes in my food. what to do?

BDS, Certification In Oral Implantology
Dentist, Ghaziabad
Hello , Usually last tooth in the jaw hardly used in chewing. My advice for you is to go ahead with Root canal treatment and Crown, if the tooth is slightly broken and is in correct position in mouth or go ahead with removal if it is broken massively/fractured or mal-aligned. Thank you

Hello sir, I am having a wisdom tooth pain what to do reduce the pain any medicine you recommend.

Hello sir, I am having a wisdom tooth pain what to do reduce the pain any medicine you recommend.
Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance between the ages of 17 and 21, though it's possible for them to push through earlier or later. Referred to as your "third molars, these four teeth begin to push through the skin like any other tooth, which can cause pain. However, wisdom teeth are much more likely to grow in at an incorrect angle – even sideways – causing impaction that can radiate this pain to the teeth in front of it. Kindly get it extracted as soon as possible.

Decay has to be removed and then filled by the appropriate material and by your choice of material. If the decay involves nerve it has to be treated by root canal procedure. Cost for filling varies from 500 to 3000.

Kindly get an xray done. For the same and check for the depth of the cavity. If cavity is deep you might have to get a root canal treatment done and if not deep then filling would help u.

Hello. Slight injury to alveolar &/ lingual nerve while giving local anaesthesia may leads to numbness and sensation in lower lip and chin. First of all you have to check is there any alteration in taste perception, as there is a long span of suffering. There are many interventions or treatments available, surgical and non‐surgical, that may enhance recovery, including improving sensation, supplements such as multivitamins, antioxidants, renerve plus for a month.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need root canal treatment. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash. Advise c. Amox 500mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Metrogyl 400mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Imol 1-1-1, thrice daily (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, allergy), c. Becosules 1-0-0 once daily all for 3 days only. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (Sensodyne Tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. There are a few conditions that can lead to dry mouth that can further lead to burning and redness. Frequent intake of water is one way and there are salivary substitutes available that can help her keep her mouth moist. Some medications can also lead to dryness.

This could be of any mouth ulcers or generalised inflammation of the mucosa. After the dental check up try not to eat spicy and oily foods.
