I am 18 years old female and my problem is hairfall and thinning of my hair what should I do to prevent it?
Androgenetic hair loss is seen in both men and women but is more dramatic in men. Hair may simply thin as a result of predetermined genetic factors and the overall aging process. Many men and women may notice mild physiologic thinning of hair starting in their 30s and 40s. Thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss. Prevention of hair loss includes good hair hygiene, regular shampooing, and good nutrition. It is therefore normal to lose about 100 hairs every day, more of them on days when shampooing loosens the hairs that are ready to fall out. There are thousands of unproven claims and products to help with hair regrowth. These products are usually harmless but generally not scientifically proven and therefore potentially useless. Medications indicated for hair regrowth include minoxidil (rogaine) and finasteride (propecia). Surgical procedures like hair transplants can be useful for some women as well as men to" fill in" thinned-out areas. More women have underlying causes of hair loss than men. These include treatable conditions like anemia and thyroid disease and polycystic ovary syndrome.

According to your height your ideal weight should be 63 kgs. Take high fiber low fat diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Do regular exercise like crunches and pushups to reduce belly fat. Ask me privately for detailed diet plan.

Knee Pain - Causes And Symptoms

Knee pain is something that can affect anyone - irrespective of their age. While sometimes it may be of minor importance - and can easily be handled by self-care, often, lingering pain is a manifestation of some other serious underlying problem, such as arthritis. In this case, it is imperative that you consult a doctor and take appropriate measures to combat it.

Causes :

Arthritis: The chief cause of lingering knee pain, arthritis itself can be of a number of types:

  • Osteoarthritis, which is a result of deterioration of cartilages due to wear and tear
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis, an inflammatory chronic disorder
  • Septic Arthritis, causing pain, swelling and redness.
  • Gout caused due to the development of uric acid crystals in the joints

Soft tissues around knee can cause knee pain similar to osteoarthritis Bursa around knee can cause inflammation and pain Tendon insertion can cause insertional tendinopathy All these are amenable to conservative and non-invasive therapies like cold packs , NSAIDs, and local hydrocortisone injections. Tendinopathy responds very well to ESWT( Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy).

Fractures: These are caused by the breaking up of the kneecap due to falls or collisions.
ACL Injuries: Caused due to the tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament (that connects the femur and the shinbone). Especially common in sportspersons such as footballers or basketball players.
Meniscus tears: The meniscus or the rubber-like cartilage (that acts as a shock absorber) can be torn by sudden jerks or excess pressure.


Symptoms:The major symptoms of knee pain include weakness, redness, instability, stiffness or the inability to properly straighten or move the leg. Often, a deformity is also visible, such as a bone sticking out of the leg - in which case it is advisable to consult a doctor immediately.

  • Possible risks: Factors which include the odds of being inflicted by knee pain and cause serious complications include :
  • Being overweight: This exponentially increases the stress or pressure that is applied on the knee joints - even in doing mundane tasks like walking up and down stairs.
  • Excessive physical activity: Some activities, such as sports apply excess stress on the knees as compared to other tasks.
  • Loss of muscle flexibility: Tightness or weakness in muscles causes increasing number of problems in the knees. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

Follow health advises given below: measure your temperature and tell me reading 1. Avoid exertion 2. Take tablet paracetamol 500 mg after food (if no drug allergy) as and when required for fever more than 99 f (maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hr can be taken in a day) for 3 days 3. Lot of fluids to be taken 4. Take proper diet homemade food like moong dal dalia, chapati etc. 4. Avoid wearing synthetic and tight cloths. Get cbc checked and review with reports consult physician/me for further management and let me know what medicines you were taking and also tell me if you are having other symptoms like cough/ throat pain/ burning urine/ stomach pain so that we can confirm cause of fever.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Size of penis never matters in a sexual intercourse. Love and passion matters and determines the sexual pleasure. Average size of erect penis is 5 inches. But even a two inch erect penis can satisfy any woman across the world just because, woman sexual nerve endings which is the reason for pleasure for women, are available only up to two inches from the opening of vagina. Therefore, please don't worry. You can improve the size of your penis by massaging it with olive oil and doing kegal pelvic strengthening exercises. I suggest online sex education and counseling. All medicines have side effects you seem to be very much stressed.(for years stress you must engage in some form or yoga or relaxation/meditation daily) Try this for PE it will help u. Pls note most of the times premature ejaculation (PE) occurs due to speed. We tend to go fast and in the process the sperm comes out sooner that required. Maintain a low speed and keep on taking deep breathes (when you penetrate) and stop for 30 seconds if you feel like ejaculating. U can practise this process while you masturbate, to gain confidence & remember that you need to enjoy the process and keep taking slow deep breathes. I am 50-years-old and haven't gone for any check-up that someone at my age should have regularly gone. Dear lybrate user, just because you have a'sweet tooth' does not mean you will have diabetes. Diabetes is caused by a number of factors. However in the last 30 years it has gone up globally due to excessive intake of carbohydrates in diet or middle and upper class. All the carbs + sugar you consume contributes towards diabetes. However you must get your complete body tests done and only then you need to worry about how to cure. First at least find out if you have a problem or not. In general you are little overweight. If you drop about 5-8 kgs, your health parameters will definitely improve.

SOME HOME REMEDIES FOR IRREGULAR MENSES.


1.Ginger
Ginger is highly beneficial in regulating menstrual cycles and also relieving menstrual pain. It promotes menstruation and hence is good when dealing with delayed or scanty periods.

Boil one-half teaspoon of freshly ground ginger in a cup of water for five to seven minutes.
Add a little sugar.
Drink this three times a day after meals.
Do this for about one month or more.


2. Cinnamon

Cinnamon is considered useful for regulating menstrual cycles and reducing menstrual cramps. According to traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed to have a warming effect on the body.

Also, it contains hydroxychalcone that helps regulate insulin levels and is suspected to have an effect on menstrual regularity. A study analyzing the effects of cinnamon extract on menstrual cycles in women with polycystic ovary syndrome is currently underway.

Simply add one-half teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a glass of milk. Drink this daily for several weeks.
You can also drink cinnamon tea, sprinkle cinnamon on your foods, or chew cinnamon sticks regularly.


3. Sesame Seeds and Jaggery

Sesame seeds are useful in regulating menstrual cycles as they help balance your hormones. They are loaded with lignans that help bind excess hormones. Plus, they contain essential fatty acids that promote optimal hormone production. Jaggery, too, helps regulate menstrual cycles due to its warming effects.

Dry roast a handful of sesame seeds.
Grind them along with one teaspoon of jaggery into a fine powder.
Take one teaspoon of this powder daily on an empty stomach in the luteal phase, or second half of your menstrual cycle (two weeks before your period starts), for a few months.

Simply eating a piece of jaggery, also known as gur, will also help regulate menstruation.

Note: Do not use this remedy during your periods.


4. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera helps treat menstrual irregularities naturally by regulating your hormones.

Extract fresh aloe vera gel from an aloe leaf.
Mix in one teaspoon of honey.
Consume it daily before having your breakfast.
Follow this remedy for about three months.

Note: Do not use this remedy during your periods.

5. Unripe Papaya

Green, unripe papaya works as a potent emmenagogue. It is considered useful in regulating menstrual flow as it helps contract muscle fibers in the uterus.

It is particularly useful for irregular periods associated with menopause and stress. Consume unripe papaya juice regularly for a few months. Do not drink it during your periods.

6. Turmeric

Being a warming herb, turmeric is also considered helpful in regulating menstruation and balancing hormones. Its emmenagogue properties help stimulate menstrual flow. Moreover, its antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties relieve menstrual pain.

Consume one-quarter teaspoon of turmeric with milk, honey or jaggery. Take it daily for several weeks or until you see improvement.
You can also take turmeric in supplement form; consult your doctor for proper dosage

Due to many years of DM your sugar is now not controlled by the same medicine . So by consulting your Dr go for insulin for few days if possible. Also take ayurvedic medicine like madhunil churna

Does she have any specific complaint or health issue. And is she on some medication? These points were necessary. And what about other tests about renal profile or Lipid profile. However with reports sent. Creatinine is normal. Cholesterol is on higher side to be controlled by avoiding all oily foods, specially Ghee, Butter, milk, cheese, yogurt, etc ie. Saturated Fatty Acid - Oils which become solid in cold. No red meat and egg yolk, prawns. Advised daily moderate exercise like walking for 40 Minutes and more of green leafy vegetables. No medications are necessary as of now.
