Hi Sir/ Madam, I am 24 years old, my first baby is 20 months old, and this is my second pregnancy, now I am 4months, last week I have done my NT scan, in that the doctors said, everything is normal, but the placenta is low lying. Is that create any problem?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Hi Sir/ Madam,
I am 24 years old, my first baby is 20 months old, and this is my second pregnancy, now I am 4months, ...
During pregnancy, the placenta moves as the uterus stretches and grows. It is very normal for the placenta to be low in the uterus in early pregnancy. But as the pregnancy continues, the placenta typically moves to the top of the uterus. By the third trimester, the placenta should be near the top of the womb, so the cervix has a clear path for delivery. If the placenta attaches to the lower part of the uterus, it can cover part or all of the cervix (the entrance to the womb). When the placenta covers part or all of the cervix during the last months of pregnancy, this is a condition known as placenta previa, or low-lying placenta. This condition can cause severe bleeding before or during labor.

I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend on last month 27. Till now she did not have her periods (mensuration) came. After sex she took an I pill tab. And mostly on every month her mensuration date on last of every month. Are we in safe zone doctor? Is there any need of pregnancy check up required?

Thank you for your question. Taking the ipill is associated with the side effects such as abdominal pain, unscheduled bleeding, bloating, period like discomfort, early or late periods and also of course a pregnancy. If she took the ipill within 24 hours of unprotected intercourse you are 95% sure to avoid a pregnancy. Any later and the success rate also reduces. I would suggest that you wait for her period to come. If it is delayed by over 7 days to do a pregnancy test. I would also suggest that you see your local gynaecologist to discuss other reliable methods of contraception if you will be having sex regularly. Ipill is an emergency contraceptive and should only be used for emergencies when your regular contraceptive fails. It is important to know that there is really no such thing as a safe period in young fertile women. Even if you are using condoms consistently and correctly you will have a failure rate of about 15 %. Unprotected intercourse has a 40% risk of unwanted pregnancy in any part of the cycle greater when it is midcycle. Please seek advice regarding more reliable contraception if you do not wish to have a baby just yet. Best wishes.

Medicine to delay the periods:- you are required to start taking the tablet at least three days before your period is due and to continue taking it for the duration that you would like to delay your period. Take tablet it is recommended that norethisterone 5mg tablets should be taken to delay your period for a maximum of 17 days. It is perfectly safe to delay your period for this amount of time. After you stop taking the tablets, your period is likely to start after two or three days, however the time scale may be different for every individual. This dose of norethisterone is not recommended for prolonged use, as it can cause side-effects and affect your hormone balance.

I have swelling problem at the time of pregnancy. Legs have swelling lightly after delivery also swelling is have. I ...
Douring pregnancy lower limbs do develop some swelling because uterus grows big and put pressure on blood vessels of lower limbs. This is called dependent edema. It disappears invariably post delivery. If one develops hypothyroidism even then swelling of face and lower limbs does occur. Since you are having hypothyroidism, there is a possibility of this complaint. Particularly if tsh levels are not well controlled.

Chronic Pelvic Pain

BAMS
Ayurveda, Sonipat

5 ways to chronic pelvic pain

Chronic pelvic pain can be caused due to various reasons. Pelvic pain, at times, can become unbearable and cause much discomfort to the individual. Immediate treatment of chronic pelvic pain is necessary, in such circumstances. However, just as everything in the world has natural remedies, there are certain natural remedies for such pains as well. One can try and harness the natural properties of the food that they consume in order to recover from pelvic pains. Some of the foods that can be consumed and which give a considerable amount of relief are listed below.

Yogurt: At times, pelvic pain is caused due to vaginal infection. To combat such infection yogurt is applied to the vagina and left for some time before washing it off. Yogurt contains lactobacillus bacteria which is considered to be a good kind of bacteria that helps in fighting its disease-causing counterparts.

Carotene foods: These include pumpkin, mangoes, sweet potatoes and even spinach. The carotene rich foods help in fighting the bacteria and help prevent infection in the pelvic region. Consumption of such foods at least twice a day would provide you great relief.

Garlic: Garlic contains sulphur which is an effective agent in fighting against bacteria and inflammation. Garlic does not only bring flavours to the food but helps in proper digestion and maintaining a healthy stomach. Thus, a combination of both turmeric and garlic can help a lot to combat severe pelvic pain.

Baking soda: Sometimes pelvic pain is caused due to bacteria growing in the intestine. The acidity of the intestine promotes the growth of these bacteria which causes pelvic pain. If you consume one tablespoon baking soda mixed with water every day then the alkalinity of the baking soda neutralises the acidity of the stomach. This makes it impossible for the bacteria to thrive and reduces pelvic pain.

Turmeric: Often pain in the pelvis is caused due to bacterial infection or inflammation of some sorts. Both these conditions can be tackled by using turmeric. Turmeric has anti- inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which help in fighting against these problems and lessening the pain to a considerable amount.

Thus, you can try and apply these homemade remedies in curing your pelvic pain. However, if these remedies do not seem to work and the pain drags on or increases, then it is recommended to see a professional ayurvedic practitioner as soon as possible.

Watery discharge from both breasts or multiple ducts in same breast is essentially harmless. Please don't worry. You need to continue your sessions with a psychiatrist (I assume you are seeing one as you are taking Nexito).

I'm 18 year old nd missed my period this month I'm worried abt pregnancy how to test.
Pregnancy test should be done only after 7 days of missed period and then you need to repeat it again every 7 days till you get your menses. Even faint second line is also positive and you have to read the reports within 5 min of putting urine. Also use good company card like velocit card to avoid mistakes bcos of card.

If you have taken the pill last cycle without forgetting regularly, no need to worry and no need to take the unwanted 72 pill. And maximum 2 weeks you can wait for withdrawal bleeding. If you not taken the pill regularly you might have got pregnant before and not from the sex you had on 16 th. If you have doubt check the urine pregnancy test.

I m 9 months pregnant my stomach is becoming tight what is a reason? Can it be a chances normal delivery.
Do not worry, that's normal, your abdominal muscles are just testing things out for what's to come. Most of the females do get the tightening and contractions all through their 8th and 9th month due to contraction of uterine muscles after all now your time is near and these labor contractions just keep coming over and over and getting worse and worse. So best of luck mother to be---------------------------

Ayurveda and Monsoon Disease

Ayurveda and Monsoon Disease

Being an agriculture based country, India awaits the arrival of the monsoons. The monsoon rains are the most beneficial source of water for the crops in India. But with the advent of the monsoons, a variety of diseases also approach the country. Diseases like malaria and typhoid are very common during the monsoons. These diseases make you terribly weak when afflicted with them.

Given below are a few of the monsoon diseases and how Ayurveda will help you combat with them:

  1. Cholera: The presence of the bacteria V.Cholerae causes you to suffer from cholera. Lemon renders the bacteria inoperative and cucumber helps to ease the symptoms of cholera. Liquefied onion with mint and vinegar is extremely essential to recover from cholera.
  2. Typhoid: Ambarbaris is composed of citric and malice acids which help in treating the fevers caused while suffering from typhoid. It also controls the occurrence of diarrhea. Apart from ambarbaris, neem also helps to treat the typhoid inflicted fevers.
  3. Dysentery: The most basic treatment available for dysentery is the bark of kurchi or kantaja. In case you are suffering from constipation, isabgol will be extremely helpful in that case. For chronic dysentery, a preparation made of mercury and sulphur, called 'rasa parpati' might be advised.
  4. Hepatitis A: Hepatitis A is a water and food borne disease, which is very common during the monsoons. One of the symptoms of Hepatitis A is jaundice. Ambarbaris is very efficient in curing jaundice. Kanphool or dandelion is very powerful in curing Hepatitis A along with other liver conditions. Kasni improves bile secretion in the liver. Hence it is useful while recovering from Hepatitis A.
  5. Malaria: Malaria is a disease which is borne by mosquitoes. It is another common monsoon disease. Afsanthin is an Ayurvedic component which helps to diminish the effects of the fevers caused due to malaria. Amla, which has a high quantity of Vitamin C, helps to restore the lost Vitamin C content in the body. Neem can also be used to recover from malaria. Shikakai is another Ayurvedic remedy that helps curtail the fever caused by malaria.

There is no way by which amniotic fluid can be increased at 38 weeks pregnancy. Maximum you can do is to get the scan repeated from another sonologist which your doctor has not suggested. If your report remains the same cesarean section should be done as baby's cord can get compressed during natural birth.
