There is a sudden felling of uneasiness in my mothers chest.She feels as if her heart has started jumping.This usually happens when she thinks on some serious matters.She has already undergone angiography but there was no problem found in her heart.

My age is 35 male, I don't smoke, my cholesterol levels are normal, my blood pressure is normal, my bmi is normal, I have the habit of consuming alcohol but only in limits, In general check up my ecg, echo,and the thread mill test are normal, Due to fear of heart disease I took twice all these tests in last 3 years, If all said above are normal, should I fear of heart disease sooner, I know its not overnite disease but at least how long will it take, to happen blocks.

No body can say. It can happen any time or never. However with your parameters your chances of getting heart blockages is meager. You advised to go for a medical check up once a year. Do exercise and donot eat junk foods or fried foods. Eat lots of salsa and fruits and go for a day's fast every week.

Yes definitely, there can be some possibilities of heart disease, mainly coronary arterial blockage and test are must. Treadmill test is first and still problems sustain, you need a coronary angiography.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Dear lybrate user, for a young patient like you I do not prefer to recommend a medicine, you are advised to become more active, regularly participate in out door games, take at least one banana daily in your breakfast. Use more salad in your meals. Spare sometime to meditate.

Hi, ayurveda has great treatments for gas problem and blood pressure. You can go for the most effective panchkarma therapies named basti for gas problem and shirodhara for blood pressure. For now, you can have ramdev baba's mukta vati for high bp and tablet gasex of himalaya for gas problem.

Dear, To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

What should be done if BP is 70 what home remedy should be given to patient if patient is having low bp.

For Recovering from low BP follow these best methods: • Anaemia is a cause of low BP so check your hemoglobin level (Hb) if this is low so eat green leafy vegetables, beetroot and fruits like pomegranate. • Eat an apple daily it maintain your BP normal. • Take your meal daily do not skip meal. • Drink 8 - 9 glass of water daily. Hydrate your body well with drinking proper amount of water because dehydration is also cause fall of BP. • When you feel that your BP is low then take 2 teaspoons of Glucon D and add a pinch of salt mix it in one glass of water and drink it. You can repeat it after 2 hours. This will maintain electrolyte balance and your BP. You can drink a cup of tea. • Drink a glass of milk daily. It maintain your stamina. • Take a multivitamin capsule daily for 15 days. • Eat a teaspoon of gulkand daily and maintain your blood sugar level. • Do long breathing pranayams daily and do not take stress.

Please do not undertake any strenuous activity. Repeat an ecg every 3, 4 months. Do light exercises like walking, jogging, et cetera. Please include less of salt in your diet. Do not eat too much of oily foods. Sleep for 7, 8 hours every day. Do not take stress. As you are now having back lower pain left side, please do an ecg now to exclude heart cause.

Dear doctor, if one's weight is reduced due to chronic anxiety, will his bad cholesterol LDL be reduced in blood?
Dear lybrate user. I can understand. There are certain misconception about cholesterol itself. Cholesterol is actually produced by liver and cholesterol is needed for body's day to day functioning. Therefore, do not worry too much about cholesterol. To answer your question, Chronic anxiety can reduce your weight due to metabolic change. Cholesterol, whether bad or good, factor depends on your food intake and dietary pattern. Fatty fool do increase cholesterol level even when you are anxious. But all these are usually momentary. The peripheral answer to your question is NO. There are many other factors needs to be considered. Take care.
