The joint between teeth and gum weakens when there is infection in the gum. The dentist will check clinically to see the symptoms of gum disease. If the infection is limited to one or two teeth, a small x ray is taken. If the infection is seen in the entire jaw, a full moth x ray (opg) is taken. On seeing the radio-graph, the dentist will decide if further treatment with laser is required. Sometimes artificial bone powder is packed to strengthen the bone. If not treated early, teeth start loosening.

That must be fluoride. options are to go for bleaching or veneers. you can go for crown also. as the color of teeth can not be changed . Either it can be masked or covered. Best results can be planned after seeing the teeth clinically. attach a picture of your teeth.

I am 19 male. I am having continuous mouth ulcers and it it more pain full I couldn't eat. I am having this problem for past 2 years. If it comes it will cure within 10 days but after 1 week I am having this again. Pls help me I should not get this disease in future.

If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

Dear Dr. I'm chewing tobacco and pan masala from last many years now I'm not using all this nonsense. There are some black spots is in my chicks under mouth. I went to cancer specialist for checkup. He told that this is not a cancer it is just reaction of pan masala. He gave me a gel named placenta extract gel (placentrex gel. For my mouth. He told me to apply this gel 5 to 6 times daily. So will be I fine soon?

The black lesions could be something called melanoplakia. They per se won't cause cancer. However it has been shown that a compound in pan masala called arecholine can cause cancer. Almost 9/10 patients who consume pan masala, tobacco, gutkha will develop cancer sooner or later. So if you stop the habit and take the present medication, things should be fine

Good day 1 week ago saturday I had a very bad injury I fall down on ice and injure my left leg. I went toi the hospital and stayed one day there now they saying my muscles above my left knee (ferrum) was a little bit broken open and we can do two things they told me or we make operation or put a brace. I have chosen for a brace and they told me 4 weeks home to recover with the brace and do not walk too much and walk with crutches. My question is will I recover with my leg totally after a lot of rest and do not walk too much.

If you going to leave the habit of chewing them then go for dental cleaning or else do not go for cleaning because it will worsen the cause more without leaving the chewing habit.

Kindly use a mouthwash. Two times daily for a period of 15 days. If bleeding still persists. Kindly visit dentist as you might have tartar/deposit on teeth.

If your muscles are visible from outside. Like kind of bulging near jaws then you r a night grinder. And if you feel bit pain while getting up in morning then it's a symptom of night grinding, more over teeth grinding noise can be detected easily during sleep.

Hi Take ½ glass of carrot juice + Add ½ glass of spinach juice + Mix well + Drink this juice to cure headache 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take pranacharya no tens capsule 1_1 twice a day. Take shirshooladi vajra ras twice a day with honey. Avoid tea and coffee.

Hi since your son is in the pubertal stage some tend to get ulcers due to horonal variation, use hiora mouth gel or dentogel he will find temporary relief while eating as the pain will vanish and he can eat use it whenver you can and use polybion tablets one a day and dexorange syrup 10 ml for his general well being

How to effectively handle work related stress

The statistics on stress at workplace are staggering with half of respondents in studies reporting that they face higher than normal stress levels at work. Stress is a silent killer and can lead to serious health issues like stroke and heart attack. Stress at the workplace could be due to excessive workloads, unclear responsibilities, lack of control, unrealistic deadlines and noisy work environment.

While it is a good thing to be competitive and excel in whatever you are doing, it is also very important to learn to tackle stress and take life easy. Remember, we live only once! here are some simple and effective ways to handle workplace stress:

1. Seek support at work

Research has shown that having one good friend at work reduces the chances of quitting. Sharing your thoughts with another person not only reduces the stress levels but also might lead to discovering new ways to handle tough situations. Take proactive steps to be more friendly and sociable at work.

2. Manage work better

Try prioritizing better and not expecting perfection in every task. In case your role is over-loaded, try talking to your manager to reduce the load or if possible, delegate some work. Accept that you have certain limits to your productivity and do not try to prove yourself by over-working.

3. Get moving

It is a proven fact that exercises in any form reduces stress levels. Try to exercise for half an hour daily in the form walking, swimming, playing a sport or running. You can take short walking breaks at work that can add up to half an hour in a day.

4. Try breathing exercises

Avoid looking at laptop, tv or phone screens when you are trying to fall asleep.

You have to take charge of your own work-life balance and draw the line where you feel uncomfortable since no one will do it for you. Over-working might give benefits in the short term in terms of recognition and promotion, but it causes emotional, mental and physical burnout in the long term. Stay healthy, stay happy.
