I am 42 years old male and have ulcerative colitis. Was on steroids but they were also not working and presently now on adalimimumab injections. Kindly advise.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) is a disease in which the lining of the large intestine (colon) becomes inflamed. This inflammation leads to the formation of raw sores, or ulcers, causing pain and bloody diarrhoea. UC usually begins gradually with bloody diarrhoea, rectal bleeding, cramps or pain in the belly, and growing urgency to move the bowels. Depending on which area of the colon is affected, the stool may be normal or hard and dry. Homoeopathic medicines Merc Sol, Merc Cor, Sulphur and Phosphorus are a few of the important ones used in treating ulcerative colitis.Selection of homoeopathic remedy is based on totality of symptoms of individual patient. So please send your symptom details for the right prescription.Thanks.

Dear, take care of your eating habits. If you feel burning in stomach, then you better is to take fruits and reduce regular meals. Sometimes, simply eating less takes care of stomach trouble. Please make it a point that too bitter, too sour, salty, hot, pungent, dry and burning foods are to be avoided as such foods cause distress, misery and disease. Thus deep frying foods or foods taking lot of oil as in gravy vegetables , salty foods , spicy foods , long preserved , frozen foods , junk foods like pizzas burgers chips are to be avoided. In addition , walk fast for 30 minutes every day or engage in some service every day. Please also do meditation regularly and sincerely which has been scientifically proved for overall health. If any doubt regarding the treatment, you can ask here in this chat. Sincerely, Sunil

With age our power to digest food gets slower. If she does not like meat, may be she finds it too heavy. Give her light food and proteins like milk, curds and boiled eggs. Regarding heart problems, clear the doubts by getting few tests done like ecg, echo, stress test if she can tolerate, bp checked and blood to be tested for sugar and total lipids, cbc for allergy, infection and hb. Breathing problems can be due to heart or due to lungs. Get back here with reports for more guidance.
