Avoid forward bending, lifting weights and sitting posture. Practice sitting in vajrasan. Do yogasanas (bhujangasan, shalbhasan, makarasan, markatasan, chakrasan, kati uttanasan). Consult orthopaedic surgeon if symptoms persist.

Stiffness is the symptom of muscle weakness. Take hot fermentation and do back exercises. Maintain proper back posture. Shivering in hands can b due to muscle weakness or it can b due to parkinson disease. For this you have to consult neurologist. For back you can consult me if you need any further assistance. Do neck mobility excercises on regular basis. Body stretches done religiously will help in overcoming this pain. Your neck and spine needs toning.

Avoid long sitting toward bending do hot fermentation and rest do spine stretching exercise and do spine extension and bridging exercise. If it work then ok otherwise x-ray must.

Dear lybrate-user, Get X-ray or MRI done to rule out any structural joint abnormalities. Meanwhile, gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. Ayurveda’s Panchakarma offers specialized treatment of JANU BASTI for knee pains - these procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Regular oiling the joint will improve the lubrication also. Use knee caps over the joints and avoid over exertion of the joint. Avoid sitting crossed legs. This will greatly help. Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi. My father is 55 years of age. He's suffering from acute pain in his chest, abdomen, back. The pattern of pain is such that it starts from the ribs below armpit towards centre of chest. Sometimes it starts around naval portion. Sometimes it goes on the back. Pain killer meftal spas doesn't work now. His tests are normal including ct, x ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, ecco etc. I'm confused he's suffering from last 4 months. He has lost 18 KGS of weight. What to do now? Doctors say its gastritis grade 1. But the pain is very strong. And no medicine is working. Suggest me something. Thank you.

Hi. Thanks for very well describing your case. As you saud you done ecg and 2d echo tests. You should also do treadmill cardiac stress test. It is a common and simple test. It will tell us whether this pain is related to heart blockages or not. And you should take good medicines for the gastritis. Let me know what are the medicines you are taking now. Take care.

Goodmorning sir what would help you is a cold pack fermentation on your leg. Then kindly do a little bit of stretching. Elevate your leg at night. All this will help you to reduce your pain. If in a weeks time it does not go then you could do a session of physiotherapy for your leg.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Knee Ligament laxity if you have problem in your legs then it might be due to ligament laxity where your legs would become very weak due to the old ligament injury and that should be treated immediately. Wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs. This is a general strain and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try! One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

If the pain is severe and affecting your routine life then it needs to be evaluated. Depending on observation medicine and physical therapy can be adviced to manage your pain. Till then please follow back precautions like avoiding forward bending, lifting weight and prolonged sitting.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.
