These all are symptoms of acidity and hyper acidity and could also turn into ulcer for peptic ulcer. The natural remedy which I am giving you will cure you permanently but the condition is you have to continue it for 3 months regularly. You have to consume cumin (jeera) in morning empty stomach, eat half table spoon jeera in morning and keep chewing it as long as you can and then drink 2 or 3 sips luke warm water. Jeera is the best natural medicine to cure all problems related to stomach and acidity it will help you magically if you consume it for 3 months regularly natural medicine has no side effect apart from this after eating jera walk for 60 to 90 minutes regularly in morning 3rd very important thing is whenever you eat meals do not drink water for 90 minutes give a gap of 90 minutes then drink water and once you have drunk water do not eat anything for 45 minutes because of drinking water with or right after meals causes huge amount of acid secretion in stomach which causes problems like chest pain acidity hyperacidity back pain, tightness in chest tightness in stomach.

When I have sex I get immediate ejaculation. The sexual intercourse lasts only for 5-6 penetration. Neither me nor my partner could take the pleasure of the sexual intercourse. Please let me know a solution.

Homeopath, Surat
There are certain techniques, which can help you to stay longer. Kegel exercise is one of the very popular and effective techniques to control premature ejaculation. These are the exercises of pubococcygeus muscles (pc) muscles. A man can do these exercises anytime and anywhere and no one will even know about it. To identify the muscles of your pelvic floor stop your flow of urine next time you go to urinal. Contract the muscles tightly holding for 10 seconds i. E. Stop urinating in between. Do this thrice a day repeating 10 times. The pc muscles control the urine and semen and firmness of your organ during erection, so keeping them strong will increase ejaculatory control. Even while masturbating or doing intercourse you can practice stop and start i. E. Rub for few thrust then stop for a minute and start rubbing again. Just relax on this; it should go away with some time. Take yohimbinum q 20 drops in half cup of water three times a day. All said and done, one suggestion: though this is a very sensitive issue, please have a thorough discussion before starting off on some medication on your own. Each body is unique and will respond differently to different formulations. With homeopathy, the aim is to treat the individual holistically instead of just removing the symptoms.

7 Tips To Deal With Chronic Urticaria

7 Tips To Deal With Chronic Urticaria

Are you looking for ways to deal with chronic urticaria? This is an uncomfortable skin health condition which is featured by red, itchy welts appearing on any part of your body. The cause of this condition is unknown to us most of the times. When the cause of chronic urticaria cannot be determined, the condition is called chronic idiopathic urticaria. There are several ways of dealing with this condition.

Here is a list of the top ways to deal with chronic urticaria:

  1. Try to Avoid Known Triggers: Avoiding known triggers is the best way of controlling chronic urticaria. You should consult an allergist for determining the triggers which might affect you. The most common triggers include foods such as eggs, shellfish, peanuts, and several food additives. Several pain medications, physical stimuli like temperature, exercise, pollen, and certain bacterial infections and viral infections are common triggers.

  2. Take Your Medicines Regularly: You should regularly take your medicines prescribed for dealing with chronic urticaria. Antihistamines are commonly used. The use of corticosteroids or epinephrine infections may also be required.

  3. Soothe Your Skin: Scratching is bad for your chronic urticaria and should be avoided to prevent the hives from being aggravated. Dry skin triggers scratching and so you should keep your skin well moisturised. Take frequent baths, and use moisturising creams and ointments.

  4. Wear Loose Clothes: Friction and pressure on your affected skin may worsen the hives. You should abstain from wearing tight belts, constricting clothes, and shoes which do not fit well. Choose soft fabric material clothes.

  5. Vitamin D Supplements: Adding vitamin D supplements may help in reducing the symptoms of chronic urticaria. You should consult your dermatologist before taking vitamin D supplements on your own.

  6. Alternative Therapies: Stress accounts for worsening this health condition. You should practice techniques which relax your mind and soul, such as meditation, yoga, and deep breathing. These are effective in stress relief. Some studies state that acupuncture may also be associated with decreasing the symptoms of chronic urticaria.

  7. Manage Your Symptoms: If you are suffering from chronic urticaria, all your efforts will be directed towards managing all the visible symptoms. However, you must also deal with the invisible symptoms such as depression and anxiety. Living with this condition is a challenging and painful task, which often results in depression, and emotional imbalance. Emotional stress, fatigue, and emotional distress are triggered by chronic urticaria.

It is important for you to consult a dermatologist if you experience any symptom of chronic urticaria. Early diagnosis and an early treatment will prevent the condition from worsening further.

My father has just gone under Lipid profile test where his Triglycerides level examined as 611, I know it is very high but please advise is it serious or not and how to lower it down?

Dietitian/Nutritionist, Chandigarh
Hi lybrate-user High levels of cholesterol are related to the intake of processed foods, sedentary lifestyle, nutrient deficiencies and stress. Many people think that cholesterol diet is directly responsible for cholesterol in the blood. So, all they have to do is to cut out high – cholesterol foods and their blood cholesterol will become normal. This is a misconception. Merely cutting down on the cholesterol diet will have a very little, almost an insignificant effect on blood cholesterol. It is important to know how to reduce and control cholesterol by relying on a good diet. When the body is fed with high cholesterol foods like eggs, red meat, high-fat dairy products, the excess cholesterol is metabolised and excreted leaving blood levels unchanged. Furthermore, the liver compensates for the excess intake of cholesterol by reducing its production so that the blood levels of cholesterol do not rise. All this happens if the person is leading a healthy lifestyle, consuming a lot of antioxidants in the form of fruits and vegetables; eating whole food in the form of whole grain cereals, whole grain pulses & avoiding processed & refined foods in addition to exercising. All these factors protect from the mishandling of dietary cholesterol. On the other hand if you are living a life of stress and eating the regular fast-food fare as well as a diet rich in cholesterol namely eggs, red meat and saturated fat in animal foods, then your body will metabolise the cholesterol diet differently. The liver then does not act as a safeguard; instead it allows the excess cholesterol diet to enter the blood stream and subsequently stores it in the blood vessels and coronary arteries. Such people get affected by cholesterol rich foods and benefit from knowing how to reduce their dietary cholesterol intake. This only justifies the phrase one man’s food is another man’s poison. Whatever be the reason of raising blood cholesterol, the answer is quite simple. When you increase your intake of soluble fibre, it helps bring down the blood cholesterol dramatically. The point to note here is that fibre occurs exclusively in plant food. Animal foods like chicken, fish, meat, beef, cheese, eggs, milk have little or no fibre to boast of. Fresh, raw fruits and vegetables especially the way we do it in Indian cooking (soggy and overcooked) destroy much fibre. Juices have little or no fibre. Similarly unrefined grains products like dhalia (broken wheat), whole wheat flour, wheat puffs, Brown Rice, Jowar & Bajra flour, whole dals like channa, rajhma, chowli, beans, black dal etc. High in fibre. Control cholesterol with breads and biscuits that high in fibre will list ‘whole wheat flour’ and not just wheat flour, as their chief ingredient on the label. Wheat bran is one of the highest fibre foods known because its fibre content is about 50%. There is no doubt that a diet rich in soluble fibre can lower blood cholesterol, blood pressure & prevent strokes as well as heart attacks. Soluble fibre is found in oat bran, fruits and vegetables. It has a powerful impact on the body’s metabolism of sugar and fats. So, how much fibre should you eat? It has been seen that in most Asian countries incidence of heart disease and diabetes is low. How to reduce cholesterol is a general question that everyone asks. People in these countries consume anywhere between 40-60gms of fibre per day. But an intake of 40-45gms of fibre is recommended to prevent heart disease. In the metros; however, the diet pattern is similar to the western countries; hence, the incidence of heart disease is more in the metros. To increase the fibre content of your diet and thereby reduce or control cholesterol levels all you have to do is: Switch to this Instead of this Unpeeled fruits and vegetable Whole wheat bread (please note whole wheat bread is not the same as brown bread). Fresh fruits Brown Rice or Wild Rice Oat Bran Whole grain dals like channa & rajhma, black dal chowli, green mung. Whole wheat bread. Popped corn and puffed wheat Snack on high fibre biscuits like those made from millets or bran or soya bean or whole wheat flour. Peeled fruits and vegetables White bread Fruit juices Polished white rice Instant Oatmeal Animal protein White flour (maida) Potato chips & fried sev Maida biscuits, where the label reads as ‘wheat flour’ as their main ingredients.

Today I found my fasting sugar levels 103 while checking through glucometer at home although I am not a diabetic. Please suggest what to do next.

PGD Maternal Child Health, MBBS
General Physician, Akola
You can consider your fasting sugar level to be normal. Do your Post Meal check after One and half hour of taking food and if it is below 160 mg per 100 ml of blood, then that would also be within normal range. You can also get your HbA1C and it should come not more than 5.5.

Need to know about some testosterone increasing food . Also want to know about the estrogen decreasing foods. Some websites film to show that egg yolks and brown lentils (masur daal) contain estrogen. Is this true ? does milk contains estrogen or testosterone ? My breakfast contains milk and egg. Is it testosterone boosting or estrogen boosting . I actually suffer from gynecomastia.

M Ch. Plastic Surgery, MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Durg
You have to consult a dietician for food knowledge. Gynecomastia can be due to many reasons - drug intake, endocrinal (hormonal) problems, metabolic causes or pubertal gynecomastia. Here there is enlargement of breast due to fatty or glandular component of breast. Get serum testosterone, prolactin and thyroid profile done. Medicines can correct gynecomastia only in cases of hormonal problems otherwise they are not effective. Surgical correction of gynecomastia can be done by liposuction and sos gland excision. It's a safe and near scarless procedure. Consult a plastic surgeon for that. You can go in for private consultation where you can share your problems in more details along with the photographs also.

I think you may have allergic rhinitis, most probably dust allergy. Try to avoid dust. Dust particles mostly present in our bed sheet. Wash it in warm water at every 1 week and dry it in sun light for whole day. Try to use plastic cover for pillow. You will feel great relief.
