My meal times are not proper n sometimes I just consume just 2 heavy meals a day. N I workout on daily basis. But unfortunately at night m not able to sleep early I sleep around 1.30 to 2 o clock or 3 at midnight. Can you please help me tell what to do so that I feel tired n sleepy by around 12 at night? I am felling poor sleep now is it sign of relapse or not proper treatment. I am doing all remedies like exercise a definite time of sleep wake cycle. I ate medicine three time 1 time clocit5, klon then I cured it was due to after doing hard labour not selection in medical college. After some month break up with my girlfriend ye bimari sath hi hone tha I was not in position to forget her at all. Then I again went to the treatment my doctor gave me triwin c plus for three month then I cured at all. Nothing to maintain anything like sleep cycle exercise bilkul think ho gya. But after 8 month it started again mere sath aisa kuch incident bhi nhi hua tha I was eating talking normal but problem was sleep disturbance in night then I again went for treatment amitriptlne chlorobenza 25 mg for six month then I cured now after nine month of left this medicine now I am feeling poor sleep what should I do. Should I go again for treatment. Or should I go ahead in my life with this poor sleep. Mujhe kuchh samajh me nhi aa rha if I say this family again all my family member will trouble. I do not want to do this. So I decided to go ahead with poor sleep in my life is it right is it affect on my health what should I do. Tips for a well deserved good night's Sleep.

• Sleep and wake up at the same time everyday, eg- if you set your time to sleep at 9 pm and wake up at 7 am , and even if that night you don’t fall asleep at nine and end up sleeping late and get 2 or 3 hours of sleep it is ok just wake up at 7

• Don’t change the time . No snoozing.

• Never sleep during day time.

• Keep your room dark

• Use eye mask , it is said that it helps in the rapid eye movement phase and helps you sleep better. The eye mask should fit you well but not cause pressure on eye . not too tight. You can find it in any store , airports and online.

• Keep your room clutter free

• Use you need only for sleep and sex .meaning no working and studying on it.

• Do not use any electronic gadgets 2 to 3 hrs before sleep eg- your phone , laptop, electronic reading equipment , TV etc. They cause a major problem in onset of sleep .

• Do not exercise, just before sleeping , it will activate your body. Better to finish gym etc 3 to 4 hrs before sleep or even best better done in the morning.

• Do not have any caffeinated beverage post 4 pm. Avoid energy drinks

• If you read before sleeping stick to old fashion of reading a book.

• Do not being up disturbing topics for discussion during bed time . Better done during day .

• Have a warm glass of milk of banana ( avoid if you are diabetic ) before bedtime .

• Do not at any cost take alcohol or other drug paraphernalia for sleep.

This process has to be followed for a couple of weeks without interruption. And when it Becomes a part of your routine, your sleep cycle will be set right.

If all this does not help then please seek help of a psychiatrist

Dear, As your sleep cycle is disturbed. These are some instructions & methods for good normal sleep: • Frequent oil massage of head with oil relax your mind and enhances sleep. You can also do foot massage daily it destress you. * Eat food with a bowl of curd and after that off the light and go to sleep because after eating meal our brain become relax and sleep comes. • Drink a glass of milk at night daily. * Avoid the excess use of laptop and phone during night . They also cause sleeplessness. • Do not take caffeine, tea & alcohol in excess and these are stimulant,(activate) your brain result in lack of sleep. • Avoid drinking alcohol & smoking. • Do not take stress. If one is tired will be able to sleep on rough stones too, key is remain physically active all day set a target of 10,000 steps daily ,drink 4 litres water and take dinner early for best possible sleep.

If it is a nightmare, it has something to do with fear. You will need to meet with a dream analyst and explain the contents and emotions of your dreams. That person will then help to interpret these dreams to give you an understanding for your life. To reduce or discontinue these nightmares you will need to have your dinner early, make it a light one, check your acid reflex, deal with your stress, and sleep on yoru left ear only.

Oversleeping - Is it a Psychiatric Disorder?

Hyper somnolence or hypersomnia is a condition that leads to constant daytime fatigue and drowsiness as well as prolonged night time sleeps. In this condition, the patient will usually go through repeated bouts of sleep, which he or she will not be able to resist without proper treatment and intervention. This condition makes patients take naps throughout the day even after a long and unhindered sleep throughout the night. Patterns of excessive drowsiness will begin to set in at the most inopportune times including meal times and even in the middle of a conversation. While there is no scientifically or medically proven cause for the onset of this ailment, it is known to affect adolescents more than adults. Read on to know more about the symptoms and treatment of this condition.

Symptoms: The patients suffering from this condition will experience a variety of other symptoms in addition to the constant state of drowsiness. These symptoms include anxiety, which may even go to a severe level if it is not treated properly and on time. Also, the patient may experience restlessness and a sense of increased irritation even in the most normal, everyday situations due to a perceived lack of sleep and constant state of drowsiness. Loss of appetite and hallucinations may also begin to plague patients who suffer from this condition on a chronic and prolonged basis without proper treatment. Slow thinking and slow speech are other symptoms that will start to set in with time as well.

Social Situations: In many social and personal situations, the patient may begin to lose basic functionality because of the constant urge to sleep. The patient’s interactions on a social platform may begin to deteriorate due to the lack of coherent thinking and speaking as well as the sense of irritability and restlessness displayed.

Medication: In most cases, it is best to go about this condition by treating the symptoms with medication prescribed by a doctor. The doctor may prescribe stimulant medication that will help in keeping the system awake for longer periods at a time. The doctor will also stress on the time of the day when these must be ingested so that nighttime sleep is not affected in any way. These medicines include amphetamines, which are usually prescribed for patients suffering from ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This medicine is usually given in controlled doses so as to keep the patient alert for longer periods of time. Other medicines include clonidine, antidepressants, bromocriptine, monoamine oxidase inhibitors and levodopa.

Therapy: Behavioural therapy is also known to make a marked difference in such cases, which helps in regulating and normalizing the sleep patterns.

First and foremost a detailed medical history as well as dietary history and certain lab tests are needed to fix your issue. What is your job and what is the stress level at work, home.do you smoke what about alcohol consumption. Do you exercise daily .How do you relax. How much is your coffees / tea consumption daily do you have sleep daily at the same time Do you use your bed as a workstation. You already told that you are addicted to mobile. That is the first thing to be looked into. You have to create the sleep environment first for that addiction to all electronic gadgets like mobile, lap top ,tablet etc should be prevented at any costs. There is no need for any medication Your sleep can be restored with proper diet and lifestyle changes. If interested take a consult for proper advice.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time .8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner.Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10..Don’t sleep in day time 11..Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor

You should have proper sleep hygiene. Sleep at same time daily. Bed is only for sleep do not use your bed as a workstation use dark curtains for your windows. Set the room temp at 70 degrees Fahrenheit avoid tea and coffee after 4 pm do not watch crime movies, watch comedy programs which will increase your feel good hormones lack of proper sleep is the trigger factor for chronic lifestyle diseases do not use medications for sleep take a consultation with me. And we have to get to the root cause to fix the problem Just putting a band aid is a temporary fix what you require is a permanent solution and for that detailed dietary, job,medical history is required.
