Weight reduction is important for her. She may not look fat due to pear shape, but she still has excess weight. Body reduces weight where it is more. After getting to optimal weight based on her height, remaining is the bone structure, for which nothing much can be done.

Hi, take 5 small meals rather than having 3 big meals, include 2 fruits and 3 serving of veg in a day in your diet, include milk and milk products like curd, paneer etc, have sufficient water, avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, avoid fried and junk food, restrict to 2-3 spoons of sugar in a day, salt intake must be moderate, avoid heavy meals at night, for further details feel free to contact.

I am 20 years old. I used to be a regular athlete and walker during my school days but now my lifestyle does not include many physical activities or much walking as such. Also now I am pursuing studies outside of my home and have been eating outside food. I have gained quite a lot of weight ever since and am having stretch marks all over my body as I was always slim. My stomach has developed a flab and my thighs and arms are way too mushy with fat. I can't seem to exercise as I am no longer able to hold my body weight with my hands also I do not follow a very healthy meal plan. Though I do sleep for eight hours a day, sometimes more. I do try to take healthy juices like elovera, amla with honey in the morning but it is doing little good to shed that extra weight. I have also developed a lot of infections after gaining weight and am always feeling too stuffed in my own body. Please help as to how I can work up a plan to be fit again and be light and healthy. As I dearly miss my fit and active body. Also kindly help if there are any possible remedies for uti's and stretch mark reduction.

Hi lybrate-user, as you know that the junk food and fatty food increase your body weight you should completely avoid it. Take 2-3 litres of luke warm water daily. On an empty stomach take 2 glasses of warm water. Be in a proper and healthy diet. Include more fruits like sour orange, watermelon, apples daily. Your daily needs is 1750 calories to maintain weight. To reduce, you need to take about 1300 calories per day. This will help you reduce about 2 kgs a month. In 5-6 months you can lose about 10 kgs.

Hi lybrate-user, Please do not opt for any medicines to lose weight. Kindly put in a 45-60 min exercise routine - it can be even walking. Along with this, make changes in eating habits such as drinking 3 liters of water daily, eating an early dinner and cutting down on all junk and fried/salted foods. Include a cup of green tea daily and start snacking on fruits or cucumber. Include a lot of vegetables and protein. Its all about small lifestyle modifications done over a period of time. To reduce belly fat, you need to start up your day with a glass of lukewarm water. Include good amount of Fresh green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Avoid eating junk, refined cereals, processes, package and fried food, sugary drinks along with fruit juices. Indulge yourself in physical activities like yoga, running, brisk walking etc.
