Based on your age height and weight your ideal body weight should be 60 to 65 kg. Kindly avoid fried foods, eat more of vegetable salad, eat more of sprouts, green gram. Take regular walk or go for jogging or excercise or yoga that will keep you motivated. Kindly try to reduce atleast 1 kg in a month.

Dear lybrate-user try to include high biological value protein in your diet like eggs fish chicken n lean meats along with sources of good fats like seeds n nuts which are also v good sources of omega 3 fatty acids also. Try to keep away from empty calories like sugars sweets n bakery stuff. Include complex carbs in your diet along with proper exercises.

I am having weight of 68 kg height 5'4 and age 28 yrs. I have tried to workout but my schedule is so exhausting that I do not have time to hit the gym. I do not eat too much just breakfast lunch and dinner. No junk food nothing from outside. I drink 3 ltrs of water daily. Still I am not able to loss weight.

Hello lybrate-user. Without doing physical exercise its difficult to loss weight. Its not necessary to go gym. You can do physical exercise at home. Try to do skipping, cycling or dancing untill sweating occur. Sweating is quiet necessary. But in starting do light exercise. Take healthy diet and avoid oily food. Thank you.

You can not lose weight by eating oats or having green tea. Such advice is highly exaggerated. Green tea or oats have beneficial nutrition, however, they have no magical powers to reduce any weight. To lose weight, you need to reduce overall calories per day and do regular exercise. In your case you need to follow 1000 calories per day diet. That way you will be able to lose about 2-3 kgs in a month. Best will be to consult a dietician who can customise a diet plan for you. That will be a better approach.

To lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume a day from your diet, if you burn 3000 calories, you’ll lose a pound a week. People who lose weight slowly, about 1 to 2 pounds per week, are more successful at keeping the weight off. You'll also burn additional calories if you increase your physical activity. You weight-loss plan should do all of the following: •Emphasize fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products. •Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. •Contain foods low in saturated fats, avoid trans fats, and limit cholesterol and salt (sodium). •Avoid refined sugars and processed foods. Some tips to help you lose weight: •Keep a food diary. Writing down everything you eat is critical! Noting how you feel when you eat will help you identify emotional triggers that may cause you to overeat. Emotional eaters tend to overeat. •Eat when you're truly hungry rather than when you're tired, anxious or stressed. •Eat slowly. If you eat too fast, you eat more than you need to satisfy your hunger. Your brain needs time to catch up with your stomach. •Plan your meals ahead of time so you make healthy choices. When dining out, check the menu online and decide what you will order before you sit down. Ask for dressings on the side. Opt for foods that are baked, broiled or steamed versus fried or swimming in creamy sauces. Avoid chips and bread baskets—they add unnecessary calories. •Stay hydrated. People often mistake thirst for hunger. •Eat breakfast. If you skip this meal, you'll be starving by lunchtime. You'll have more difficulty making healthy choices throughout the day. Find resources to help you keep track of your food choices and nutritional values and that can offer additional support when you need it.
