It usually impacts older and weaker people or those with very poor immunity levels. Initial symptoms are fever or body pain along with sensitivity to light. Then a rash develops, which is rather painful and gradually turns into a group of blisters.
HOW IS ZOSTER DIAGNOSED?
A dermatologist would do the diagnosis by examining the rash and does a skin test if needed to confirm the infection.
HOW IS ZOSTER TREATED?
There is no cure for Zoster, but symptoms of pain and burning sensation can be eased out through medication. The duration of the infection can also be shortened
