HOW IS URINE STONE TREATED?
Small stones with minimal symptoms do not need invasive treatment. Patients with small stones are advised to drink plenty of water and a prescription of mild pain relievers and alpha blockers is given. In case of a much bigger stone, a procedure called lithotripsy is done to blast the stones. Very large stones go under the knife where a surgery is performed to remove them. An ureteroscope is also used.
