Nose infection is also known as sinusitis or sinus infection. This is a condition characterized by the inflammation of the air cavities within the passages of the nose. This can be due to an infection or an allergic reaction. Acute sinusitis can be triggered by a cold or allergies and may resolve on its own. Chronic sinusitis lasts up to eight weeks and may be caused by an infection or growths. The symptoms include headaches, facial pain, runny nose and nasal congestion.

A General Physician diagnoses Nose Infection by conducting a physical examination and nasal endoscopy to see inside the nose.
HOW IS NOSE INFECTION TREATED?
Treatment for nose infection includes use of antibiotic drops or similar medicated drops to prevent it from spreading further. Inhaling steam is also suggested. Alongside, you can also be given other antibiotics and medicines along with ointments to curtail the problem.
