Nosebleed is very common and there are two kinds of Nosebleed namely Anterior Nosebleed and Posterior Nose Bleed. While dry air is the most common cause of Nose Bleed, there can be many causes of Nosebleed but they rarely indicate a serious problem. Other causes of Nosebleed include high blood pressure, bleeding disorder, blood clotting disorder, cancer and many more.
HOW IS NOSE BLEED DIAGNOSED?
General physicians may conduct a thorough examination of the nose and check for injury to other parts of face and head. A complete blood count test, nasal endoscopy, CT-scan of nose and X-ray of face and nose may be conducted to find the cause of nosebleeds
HOW IS NOSE BLEED TREATED?
Treatment of Nosebleed depends on the cause of bleeding. In case of any nose or head injury, that needs to be treated immediately to arrest bleeding. In case of foreign objects stuck in nose removal of the object is required.
