Hives or urticaria is an allergen triggered infection that mainly affects the skin. Hines usually starts as a itchy patch of skin. Symptoms are:

The General Physician may prescribe antihistamines as the first level treatment for Hives. This will ensure that there is no further spreading of the plaques. But additional medications will depend on the identification of the exact allergen that triggered the swelling.
