Eye inflammation or Blepharitis usually is a sign of some kind of bacterial infection. Physical examination is conducted apart from slit lamp test for examining cornea, eyelids, tear film and conjunctiva.
HOW IS EYELID INFLAMMATION TREATED?
Eyelid inflammation can be treated with proper hygiene eg washing eyes and applying a warm compress can reduce inflammation. Depending on the severity of inflammation and whether the inflammation is caused by an infection, the doctor may recommend other treatments eg steroid treatment and antibiotics.
