Pneumonia is an infection in one or both lungs and it can be caused by fungi, bacteria or viruses. Pneumonia causes inflammation in the lungs air sacs and this makes it difficult to breathe. HOW IS PNEUMONIA DIAGNOSED?
A General Physician/Pulmonologist diagnoses Pneumonia by conducting a physical examination, chest X-Rays, and sputum test.
HOW IS PNEUMONIA TREATED?
It is initially treated with antibiotics. When this fails a bronchoscopy is conducted and antiviral drugs are prescribed.
