Hi lybrate-user, Just internet for free counselling services. There are 5-6 organisations that are running free services. Their calling numbers are provided. Also, there are few where you can email the issue as anonymous. Just do some search. I am sure you will find some. You can in fact follow counsellor/ psychologist . Almost all of them post blogs and articles suggesting simple tips and tricks. Those cannot be of equal level to therapy but surely helpful. Take care.

Kindly analyse your reasons and work on them. With certain life style changes you might be able to get over the issue. But if this has been pertaining for long, kindly consult a professional.

Hi, My son who is 34 months old speaks almost over 50 single meaningful words, 6 to 7 two word phrases. He is quite behind in his colloquial speech. He does good and happy in play school mingling with other kids, reciting more than 10 short rhymes, alphabets, numbers, colors etc. Understands and follows directions a lot. Only occasional tantrums once a day or two. Repeat sof phrases we say. However, m concerned if his speech will get along normally. Please help with your thoughts.

Please check that wether his other developmental milestones have been achieved on time or not. While being with other kids in school, note if he is able to sustain age appropriate conversation with his peer or not. When he interacts with them, is he just imitating them, just running around or actually involved in the activity. How about speech clarity? One very important thing would be to consult a professional, a clinical psychologist. Please do not avoid that. There are set tests that could only be run by a professional, which would provide you a better insight about the situation.

Dear lybrate-user Maintaining a work-life balance is not easy and it often causes stress, which could further lead to other issues, concentration issues and weak memory are few of them. Make certain life style changes like taking proper sleep, sleeping on time, eating right amount and healthy food. Include some workout routines in your schedule, learn some relaxation techniques. Note down things in diary to help, try to work in silence, ignore any distractors like TV, social media apps while working, divide your work in small chunks. Follow the tips. If it doesn't help and issues hinders with your normal life, take proper counselling. Good luck!

It could be due to weakness in the muscles. Consult a neurologist, it will give more clarity. There could be several reasons for the same, an injury or stress. Please focus on finding the reason and follow the treatment as per that.

Hi, My question is regarding my nephew's who is 10 year old, he has much slow growth n slow learner physically little bit weak but normal but main problem is he is not able to speak properly and he have reading writing problems as well he is also not showing interest in going to school or learn something, he failed at 1st std, due to his speak problem he doesn't express himself he always kept quiet try to busy himself on Mobile or tv. As soon as he is growing his internal frustration is increasing now he used to shout and showing much anger and showing his frustration also not eat properly also he has no friends We are much worried about his behavior, from last 2 year he is undergoing for speech therapy, so he can speak little bit now but not as clear to understand. Earlier we thought he only have speak problem but now I thought the problem is something different and serious he is only 10 year old who is not able to speak not able to express himself no friends not able to read or write something and showing his internal frustration. Some time we not able to understand what he wants and what he thinks what in his mind? So my humble request to you based on above point can you please try to diagnose the exact problem or suggest us what could be the problem and also suggest some treatment or solutions so that we can start treatment asap accordingly We know we are already too late but still we have time so we will try to make his and his parents life better I am awaiting for your reply Thanks,

There are detailed tests and observations done before making a diagnosis. I highly recommend you to consult a proper clinical psychologist for a formal diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is clear, preparing a course of treatment will be easy and much better.

Dear lybrate-user You need to have these symptoms for at least two or more weeks for you to assume that you might be in depression. And it's okay, do not panic. Everyone goes through such phases in their lives some or the other time. You are brave that you have decided to interrogate with your mental health. Kudos to you for that. You cannot have it all together all the time. Now why don't you try the few things I would suggest you. Right? 1. Look for the reason/s that is making you go through these emotions. Like if there is any particular event that happened in your life that made you this way. And when you find it out, just jolt down solutions for the issue on your own. If no major life event has happened, this all could be due to hormonal imbalance. Females often go through mood swings and all. 2. Don't skip meals ever, keep healthy. Make a healthy diet chart and follow it. Eat good, feel good. 3. Drink appropriate amount of water. It helps maintaining pH level in body. 4. Watch sunrise and try breathing exercises. 5. Don't watch upsetting movies, videos, serials. Don't listen sad songs. Go for light movies and energetic songs. Try these above solutions and properly. And if you feel you need help, seek proper treatment. Look for motivation therapies. And yes, consider the first point I mentioned. If there isn't any major life event that has affected you this way, consult a proper doctor. You should really take care of yourself. I hope this would be useful for you.

Dear lybrate-user If your heart rate increases when you smoke weed, maybe you should not do it. Smoking up does give you a buzz for a while but if you do realise, for long term this has a bad impact on your brain. Try looking for some deaddction program nearby to your place if you fall in the addiction zone. You will be out of it if you will make genuine efforts. Ask your friends and family members to keep a check on you and look for motivation amongst them. Avoid company of people who smoke. You will go through withdrawl symptoms initially but try not to fall weak due to that. Take care and Good luck.

I am a total vegan, my ht is 5'9" my wt is around 73 kg I lead a sedentary life style, complete office job mainly on a desk computer, am non smoking, no alcohol, how can I attain my ideal weight around 60-62 kg.

Hi lybrate-user Try to add an exercise routine in your daily schedule. If not daily, go for at least 4 days a week. Try low cards diet. You should consult a nutritionist for this. A proper diet helps a lot. Try basic things like walk while you talk over call, take staircase instead of lifts, take breaks in between and just get up and walk.

From the past few months Im feeling anxiety and I'm not able to concentrate on any thing. Dear Yes PCOD could be a reason for the emotional disturbance you are experiencing. I would suggest you to consult a gyne and get your hormonal tests done or as per your doctor suggests. You should be at least aware about the reason for your situation before going further and seeking treatment.
