You have to do some modification in your diet & excercise. You can lose your weight upto 5 kg by following a good diet plan & excercise or a healthy diet with right ratio of calories, protein & carb. You have to avoid such type of high gi foods, simple carb like rice, refind flour products, unhealthy food like fried, oily foods, fast & junk food, tea, coffee, sugary products & sugary drinks. You should take a healthy breakfast. If you want to lose your weight please don't skip it because it will help you to boost your metabolism. Includes salad with lunch & dinner. Use 6 small meal pattern instead of 3 major meal.

So there is this thing called 'resting metabolic rate' or rmr which is basically how much/how quickly you metabolize nutrients (yes, fat as well) while you're resting/sitting/chatting/sleeping. Dear lybrate-user, diabetes is a multi factorial disorder. That means that more than one factor is responsible for developing diabetes. Many people have history of diabetes in parents or siblings but not all of them develop diabetes. Genes when combine with mental stress, sedentary lifestyle, improper diet, smoking and alcohol addiction lead to diabetes. Now prevention of diabetes is by preventing each factor. Exercise regularly, meditate as and when possible, have balanced healthy diet and avoid smoking and alcohol! prevention is better as there's no cure for diabetes till date! hope this helps you!

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

I am a tailor and when I put my legs on sewing machine, my right leg nearly becomes numb and I can not work the machine with it and after that there is a lot of pain in my calf although I have no problems in walking and there is no pain generally but when I do that work it suddenly starts at that area of my right leg. This problem is only in right leg not in left one. Pls tell me wht it is and how it can b cured by home remedies.

Hello lybrate user the kind of pain you have described it may cause due to two reasons either due to scitica or vericose vein. Just examine your calf muscle of right leg and vein structure if veins in that area are not stright it looks like a net of veins it is definetly vericose vein. If they are striaght then it must be scitica pain. Scitica is nerve which extend from lumber region upto toes of both legs. If it is compressed on any side right or left due to gap in lumber vertebra pt feels such a pain in that leg only. So just chek it out and also I want to tell you that no home remedy will able to cure any of these two disease you hav to seek help of perticular expert. I hope this ans will help you find what is your problem.

Girls do get pain in breasts before periods and it is called pre menstrual syndrome, water 'logging' is in entire body but felt more in the breasts due to tiny baloons present whose function is to store milk ,not extra water. It is due to some hormonal imbalance and treatment is simple - reduce salt intake because just observe in your kitchen ,salt has a tendency to 'retain' water , take more potassium present in lemons ,oranges etc. potassium automatically reduces the effect of sodium present in common salt , I am not asking you to eat saltless bland food , but reduce extra intake through chutneys , papads , sauces and pickles because salt is a preservative too. take green tea , because all of the above things rich in potassium leads to more urine , and extra water and salt are out of the body , one does not have to take medicines to induce urination , I hope you know how to do self analysis of breast , look for any lumps ,just to rule out any other reason of pain in breast.

Hello. As you are 40yrs. of age with a good height of 5'9" and your weight is 51kg, so there is no need to reduce the weight at all! Rather I feel you should gain slight weight as per your age and height! So, don't think of weight reduction.

The best way to gain weight naturally is through good diet and exercise. For weight gain you must: 1. Take more of proteins like milk and milk products, pulses, soyabean and its products, eggs, chicken etc. 2. Carbohydrates rich diet with sufficient amount of fibre. 3. Intake of vitamins and minerals should be proper. 4. Intake of water should be 3-4 litres. 5. Take proper rest and sleep. 6. Avoid tensions. 7. Exercise is also very important along with a good diet.

Hi, according to your height your weight is high. You should go for brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. You should do abdominal exercise, don't take rice at night, don't take oily food. Don't skip breakfast. Eat salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Take small and frequent meals.

Your height can grow till 25 year take following remedies 1. Flax seed powder 1 tsp after lunch and dinner with warm water 2. Lakshadi guggul 2 tab twice a day 3. Ashwgandha churna 1 tsp with milk at 6.30 pm also do swimming or jogging to increase wt I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2.
