As she is suffering from dysmenorrhoea which is very common. It should be treated initially with meftal spas (pain killer) tablets. If the pain is too severe it should be further investigated with ultrasound, to find out the exact cause. She could be suffering from endometriosis or ovarian cyst or fibroid.

Dear Lybrate user, Your description of complaints is not clear. You seem to be drinking plenty of plain water only. It is better to consult Obstetrician in your case, explain the symptoms and get examined.

I am 25 weeks pregnant and for last few days suffering from frequent vomiting. I tried changing the eatables and restricted to only fruits but still vomiting continues mainly in night, with weakness now. What do you suggest? Is it due to some change in body and is normal or something to get serious about.

There can be gastritis or some infection in pregnancy you can't afford to be dehydrated as much as a non pregnant person. Keep taking ORS water and coconut water and bland food. If your condition doesn't improve or urine out put is less or weakness not reducing visit the doctor.

Milk is the best source of proteins along with curds but no cheese of burger variety. Start giving solids at 6 months, if you see a tooth to bite a biscuit, sooji, moong daal soup with rice water. At 1 year encourage the kid to eat like adults, giving him or her chapatis, rice, daal, curds and boiled eggs plus proteins supplements. Never compromise on milk.
