Should we allow dentist to extract teeth without taking x-ray?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist,
Should we allow dentist to extract teeth without taking x-ray?
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

My teeth is bleeding at the time im brushing. Please give me advise what I do.

BDS
Dentist,
My teeth is bleeding at the time im brushing. Please give me advise what I do.
Few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.

BDS
Dentist,
Long time ulcer is not good. Did you ever shown this ulcer to any dentist. If not don't wait more and consult dentist. Repeated ulcer may be due to chronic irritation of sharp tooth or it may be due to stress. You need to treat cause for it. Till you can take multi vitamins tab twice a day and apply hyora sg gel after meal three time.

Hi , I had widow teeth nut that teeth is coverd by sidelayer skin and that teeth is broken it to pieces twice now I am unable to chew right side due to skin covered the teeth please help me with a solution.

MDS - Orthodontics, MDS
Dentist, Zirakpur
If i correctly understand Sunil .You have a wisdom tooth that is partially chipped or #ed.Usually in such a case when the skin covers the tooth .Its b coz there is insufficient space of the teeth to erupt .Extraction of the tooth is the only choice and a sane one at that coz food will keep accumulating between the wisdom tooth and tooth in front damaging the both teeth.Hope this helps

Sir you live in delhi so I suggest that first you consult a local dentist to check and rule out cavities. Cavities, if present, should be excavated and tooth should be restored. Cavities can cause sensitivity.

That white thing is plaque its contains bacteria grown when you are in sleep that's why doctor ask everyone to clean your teeth as soon as you wake up if these plaque is not removed and get calcified it will leàd to the formation of calculus and then periodontitis which will lead to mobility in teeth and many more complications.

This condition is called as osmf. You have to immediately stop the habit of pan masala chewing. If the habit continues, the condition worsens and it is very difficult to get your mouth opened. There r few techniques like certain injections or surgery to open the mouth only with limited success rates. So stopping the habit is of tremendous importance.

Dear lybrate-user your problem is discoloration or yellow tinge on teeth and you want to make it white and you have tried many ingredients also ---no relief you can use --take a cut lemon piece soak with soda bi carbonate and rub on teeth for two minutes and than wash properly, do this once in a week. Visit a dental surgeon for checkup and see if bleaching can solve your problem use colgate whitening paste and do regular mouthwash to maintain oral health.

Crack in the tooth is not normal. So get a xray done and make sure that you get it treated so that it shouldn't get worst. I think dentist will advice for root canal therapy and a cap for that tooth. So get it done and avoid bone loss in that tooth region.
